  1. If it's a 9A from a corrado, then it will have KE Jet, it's very similar, but it uses a lambda probe and has electronic adjustment of the fueling. The injectors have a different thread to the K-Jet injectors.
  2. Take the front off and use the hoist to lift the engine and box out. The front end doesn't take much work to remove, and you'll give yourself a whole lot more room to work. The 2l (9A) fueling is more complicated and temperamental than the K Jet found on the 1.8. It's a nice straight forward swap retaining the K Jet
  3. It might make it seem more economic, but it's tricking the ecu (on cars with MAFs) into getting the mixture wrong, which is clearly going to harm the engine in the long term. If you want to improve your fuel economy, drive more smoothly and at 60 rather than 70. There are countless threads on here of issues with idle and running issues caused by air leaks in the inlet trunking, and this is what you're intentionally introducing to the car.
  4. Don't have weights but Sebrings with Rainsport IIs are noticeably heavier than G60 BBS's with Potenzas on.
  5. Or just give it to me and I'll remove your spare wheel so the car feels faster.
  6. See, that little bit of dancing was well worth it... Glad you're getting it sorted :)
  7. Yup. There is a circlip you remove and can swap the lock barrel into the new handle.
  8. I've heard that before in reference to 8v and 16v golfs, I also understand that it's crap. The 16v is supposed to produce more torque right through the rev range than the 8v. The difference is probably down to gearing, and the feeling of the torque curve being prominent at the bottom of the rev range. Could be wrong though. Anyone got a couple of charts? Not knocking the 8v though I think they're awesome cars and that you don't need power to enjoy the corrado. Corradude  I agree completely.
  9. You bought Furkz old car then? Enjoying it so far?
  10. I'd be really interested by seeing a set of torque and power curves. Must be quite pleased with it at the moment then? Good to see you back btw.
  11. KRs have 2 pressure switches in the casting, and a temp sensor in the back of the head. G60s are different. I can't remember what the 9A I broke had on it... Cooler is a bit of a pain. remove the fan cowling and fan as a single unit. (2x10mm bolts at each end and fan plug) to get more space. The main issue will be getting the water pipes off. They are a right tw@t. Remove the filter, and you'll find a nut around the centre pipe (24mm??) which you need to undo to drop the cooler down. The centre pipe may well unscrew from the upper casting(indeed, this could be your problem) so make sure it is tightly wound up before replacing the parts. While you're fiddling with it, you may as well replace the waterpipes to the cooler, and the pressure sender.
  12. Darren, do you sell the Neuspeed rear ARBs? Roughly how much would I be looking at for one for a VR6?
  13. Despite my initial sceptism, it seems that there is a unit around the fuse box, possibly a relay, as the etka drawing is poor. P/N 443 907 393 N
  14. Does anyone have a part number for the control unit as I can't find it on ETKA, and hadn't heard of it before this week.
  15. Hmmm. might be worth swapping in that case. Yeah, you can leave the dash inplace...
  16. Coolers are available, but it could be the o ring on the filter, or between the cooler and the bracket. Or it could be an oil pressure switch failing. You'd do well to check these thoroughly as they'll empty the sump at serious pace...
  17. Could just remove the roll cage, and relocate the air intake. You could buy a softop Bedford Rascal for the same sort of money though. How many more miles till the charger is run in? I wonder if your heater bypass valve is blocked?
  18. You need to check for air leaks between MAF and inlet manifold. The pipe and filter for the breather at the rear left of the rocker cover often fails.
  19. Coilpack is good to check when it's getting dark, look for arcing across the surface. You could try dousing it in wd40 and cleaning it to see if that makes a difference.
  20. :D That was fun. And it's quicker off the line than my G60! Seriously though I should have got a picture of that thing to turn into a t shirt. It's a really good bit of kit, clever CVT gearbox limits forward speed to 25mph. It's a bit weird as when you go up and down hill the engine revs go up and down while the forward speed is maintained. Did you see that video in the snow thread of us using it to tow a sledge round the feild?
  21. If it helps, I used to get 28mpg when I only had 4 gears.
  22. Thanks. CAAAW CAAAAW FLAP FLAP CAAW.
  23. :) Should be simple to do then! You'll have to come back and have a proper go with it. used to go over that heap of tarmac in the yard when it was several times bigger.
  24. :) You will sleep fine. And you'll wake up with lovely glossy hair. I'll look for that plate for you this weekend. :)
