  1. just realising i got ripped off big time by a garage and droplinks. Was the first thing that got changed on the corrado in my ownership, told them to use genuine VW parts and i paid alot more than prices quoted in this thread and it was about 6yrs back
  2. Would make a nice framed picture. I did a similar thing for my avatar and feel really proud of myself about it
  3. Which bolt is it, front or rear of wishbone? i think the rear one has no thread the bolt goes straight through to the chassis. I have just bought all new bolts for subframe and associated bits so have all the numbers at home. Any pics of the bodge?
  4. Here you go, i think i got it right and they are selling them. http://www.modelenium.co.uk/models/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-G60-1990-YELLOW--400055602.aspx
  5. Yeah i got the red and blue ones, am sure they were under £30 when i bought them. Think i'll have to get the yellow as well. Also on the lookout for another red one if anyone is selling at a reasonable price
  6. Just googling about the place and noticed the yellow minichamps corrado has a price and a buy it button, rather than pre order. Not ordered one yet. The price seems to be £36, a bit more than normal
  7. I do most of my work myself now, didn't have great experiences just using the local general mechanics type of garages. Am sure someone recommended a place in Maldon to me.
  8. Yeah, if its good condition etc. i could probably collect or meet up somewhere, am in Dunmow direction
  9. Am taking it off a vr6. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  10. I'm in Thaxted by the way, not far at all from Dunmow. i thought the house looked a bit familar style
  11. Will the glove box fit a late style? am told i have a small one due to my aircon, so removing the aircon and hopeful i will gain a few inches.. :D
  12. Hi Tim. Welcome to corrado ownership. Everyone would have one if they didn't have problems, its part of the corrado's character. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  13. Basically yes, everyone should think of their own car as the best one
  14. A late VR6 with leather is the best one imo, you get all the improvements and the most powerful engine, also i find the later models look a bit more modern and refined than the earlys. £4-5k will get you a very nice VR6 if you hang on for a decent one, even a storm might be worth sourcing, (same as VR6, but with extra painted bits and different wheels. I think the speedlines look better though.
  15. Going to start updating this, now i have most of the parts i need to build it back up again. Hoping to get it done in the next few months Engine beam in place Subframe off Cleaned up the subframe, got most of the rust off with Deox gel and the dremel. Painting with this stuff for now, as a primer First coat done, need to wait till its dry to flip over and paint the other side
  16. I will take one please. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  17. I bought some last week, and they come with the torx head now instead of a screw slot
  18. I just bought what I thought was a few cheap parts, mainly nuts and bolts and bushes. Came to £600 and that was after going back through the original list and thinning it out by not being as fussy about all the bolts. They add up quick. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  19. They are one of the rarest bits of corrado imo, especially in A1 condition. Most i've seen all have a bit of wear
  20. it gets stuck, it should go all the way up and down in one moment each way. I like to pretend in my mind i've got some special custom spoiler mod when i drive around with it stuck halfway
  21. Woohoo, i bought the whole set of them not long ago and been looking forward to using them
  22. I'll get stuck in and probably come back for advice halfway through
  23. I'm halfway through removing a complete Diavia kit at the moment, they don't seem very complicated really.
  24. I think the 12v uses enough fuel as it is, probably stick with that in mine, can see the 12v being a historic artifact one day
