Jim Bowen replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Members Gallery
How do you go about getting different springs? Do KW sell them to fit KW1's? -
Mine started buzzing once, i never replaced it and the noise went away, must of done another 10,000miles since Half expecting it to need replacing once i had car built again

Looks fantastic in the above picture, like walking into a VW showroom during the mid 90's Even though i wouldn't want a concourse car myself, i'm glad there are those out there putting in the effort and even better that its a corrado your looking after so well.

Does the screw in sensor have any sort of sealing ring or gasket, or does it just screw in and forms it own seal? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

I've looked at those pics and looked again because it was so wtf. Are you sure the rubber part isn't upside down? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

Nice one, sorted out the middle one, now I am home with the bits here. I was looking at the old aircon bits and not the normal ducting thats why it looked wrong. So the preformed one on the left, does that go interior side or engine side of the scuttle tray? Then the roll of seal on the opposite side to that? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

See this happen quite a bit on corsa forum, people selling something on ebay and using google images to find a photo. One chap saw his engine up for sale, lots of the people selling certain things using a corsa for reference that is nothing to do with them Not sure if its wrong or not, has he blanked your reg plate?

I've bought 3 now and all have been broken in some way :( They seem quite hard to get hold of and quite expensive for broken ones :( I managed to make one good one, but not found out if it works yet. So basically i've not really helped you at all  sorry

Just collected these bits from VW and not quite what i expected. I can't access vagcat so unable to post the diagrams of where they go. I'm meant to have a foliage seal, top of blower motor, parts diagram showed 2 gaskets i ordered them both. And a gasket between the blower ducting and the unit behind centre of dash. This is what i got 191820129 - GASKET 191819166 - GASKET 191819370 - GASKET All those are about £6 each

Cheers, feel like i'm getting somewhere now. Got rid of any rust on inner wings and sprayed some wax protection on them Subframe is now inside, just waiting for engine mount from Jay then i can refit it to car Took the seats out while i work on interior, got all the aircon removed now, fixed the electric movement of seats, and fixed headlight loom in dash (again) Started to sort out the slam panel, i think this rust is why the bonnet realease cable fails, the metal tab that cable pushes against has rusted and moves very slightly, meaning i keep having to adjust my cable ends Also, does anyone know if its important which way this X goes on the gearbox mount? Can't see what it means

17" Speedlines, wheels spacers and longer bolts

Theres a set of these on ebay at the moment for nearly £1000 -
Nice one. I filled the holes in bulkhead already, had a right pain finding a large enough grommit that would stay in the hole, ended up using some sealant as well as a grommit. Got the new grill for foliage seal, just need the seals now. Already got the aux belt. Am hoping i just need the standard fan now, which i've just bought from ebay
-
So if I buy a corrado fan, that will fit there and not need anything else? Is there any more bits needed inside the car? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

Finally removed everything and looking to replace this bit now. Got the big duct bit (thanks to cazzaVR) and took the actual blower and motor out of original bit, but they don't seem to go together? Do i also need a new blower with motor? also just to add to the thread, i bought another corrado glovebox and its exactly the same as my aircon one.

There are two types of spring cap. The difference is the diameter of the top coil of spring. Late plates are nearly flat, the early ones look more like a small metal hat. I have photos but hard to link them on phone. Will try find a thread I made about it. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

Isn't there zf and trw type, I notice all the boots and rod ends have a mark to denote this, and bentley manual says not to mix them up. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2
