nice to see my mate as a dot on a map... he would be proud of that! -
I've got 5000 of them, i have them sat by my window and i throw them at trespassing animals in my garden. Thats how special i am.

Woohoo, saw one today, i don't see many, probably only seen about 5 in real life... Red one, driving from wicken bonhunt towards newport (essex) about 9:15am today. Looked amazing and has made me want mine back so i can be that elite dude cruising around in a rare beast.....

exactly what mine did, cracked the plastic and nothing to grip nut, i got fed up and hit it with a hammer till i had broke enough plastic to get it off (was one of them moments).... Might try and find a broken one if that bit can be separated from the rest of it. Whats a working one worth?

question for those that run headlight loom /relays
Jim Bowen replied to steveo29's topic in Engine Bay
Is that quite easy to do? I already have a couple of the uprated looms from the forum but not fitted one yet, one is spade connectors the other has the VW plugs on, would i be able to adapt them? I'm not very good at electrics. -
Trying to take my spoiler and mech off and i had to snap some of the black plastic bits where it screws onto tailgate inside. Hoping i can just swap over the broken plastic bit, maybe someone has a faulty mech lying around. Will try and get some pics of it later, but struggling to get it out of tailgate
-
my tailgate is exactly the same, did you have much internally?, bit awkward to get to :(

put my engine beam on top of bay and used the two lifting points, top left and bottom right. But as i tighten it all up the beam slides down the wing on the right side as you stood in front of car. So the beam sits diagonally across the bay, and also the section of inner wing it ends up sitting on doesn't feel strong enough to take the weight. My mate noticed that on the gearbox there is a hoop/hole, can i use that for lifting/supporting engine?, Hoping that would stop beam sliding about

Noticed my rad which isn't too old is starting to corrado top and bottom, only minor surface stuff. Is there anything i can use to stop it? Not sure if normal rust stuff works on aluminium. Have seen people paint rads black before, but suspect that wouldn't last long.

Definatley something i need to look towards, about to sort most things out on mine except the engine and i imagine within the next year or so i will need to think about a new engine. What was all the problems Rob had with his? Pedal and flat spots etc? Have you solved that on your one?

i use the metal rod from within one of the doors, runs from door handle to lock/latch and has perfect hooked ends. getting quite good at it now...
