  1. I bought one from VW dealers once, was £55 a couple of years ago, but they are bound to of put the price up by now.
  2. anyone? Would it be worth ordering more than one and saving on postage, then selling a few?
  3. on a similar note, has anyone considered fitting daytime running lights to a corrado, or would it be wrong? saw this thread recently and thought the install was quite neat http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=622256&page=1 DRL's annoy me, and i think the best way to overcome that, is get them myself
  4. having trouble using any of them links tbh ---------- Post added at 10:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:55 AM ---------- so the part number is 535 813 989 The website is all in German though, do i phone them up and just speak english? Can't even find a phone number
  5. Can you still buy the whole black bit of plastic that goes between the rear lights and plate fixes to. Do vw sell it and how much? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  6. dunno what made me buy the gruvenparts one, i must of been feeling rich that day, especially as i'd just bought a new vw rad that came with the elbow
  7. omfg, i feel your pain :( what colour is the paint left behind? do you think you will be able to track them down?
  8. it can change depending on the pellet you use, as standard they usually set them at a safe limit for all pellets
  9. bargain, these chinese guns are great if you like taking things apart and upgrading them etc. I bought one earlier in the year, had it two days before i took it apart and fitted a modified trigger. http://www.woodfield-gcp.co.uk/springtuning.htm althought you must be sure the power doesn't exceed the legal limit or its classed as a firearm and you need a proper gun license
  10. i've bought the stuff to setup a blasting cabinet, but never got round to finished it off. Only tried the gun on a landrover and the sand went everywhere. Could you try something like Deox Gel instead? You might need to slap some on, then keep adding a bit each day and leave it a few days. http://www.bilthamber.com/pro-introduction.php?cname=Corrosion%20Removal&name=deox-Gel
  11. From the scuttle area in engine bay? Something might of been fitted wrong after the paint Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  12. who does your paintwork or do you do it yourself?
  13. "I bent the drivers side rubber by putting it on to far so had to buy another that was a waste of £54!" had to giggle, thats the sort of thing i'm always doing.
  14. i'm learning as i go really, only got into DIY mechanics as otherwise i couldn't afford to keep the corrado. Was 28yrs old when i changed my 1st brake pads, always took cars to a garage before corrado. Am slowly taking it to bits and renewing most of it.
  15. Didn't even know about those bushes, i better add them to my list
  16. Are you driving it with no water or coolant? if its just sat around it should be fine with no water in it as nothing to expand and break/crack things. I hope i'm correct in thinking that as mine has no oil, water or brake fluid in it.
  17. Used to use Gliptone but now buy stuff from the furniture clinic and prefer it, the gliptone conditioner always smelt like a hospital to me, people would comment on the smell, yet they would never think its leather??? http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/
  18. Might try and check mine while car is in bits. Never ever looked and i've done 60k since i've owned it. Engine on 194k now.... I've always been put off getting it changed for £1500 and then still be unsure about the condition of rest of my engine internals. Can buy an R32 engine for £1500
  19. i have powerflex rear bushes, mainly because they were easy to DIY fit, can't say i notice a massive amount of difference while driving, but then again i'm not usually driving on the limit. Don't know how long my old standard ones were knackered for so i can't really make a decent comparision, but it hasn't ruined the ride and i only really drive on rubbish B-roads.
  20. Am guessing its glued on? All the top and middle of mine is loose and flapping about, had to take some plastic nuts off from inside. But the bottom edge is stuck on solid, is there a special way to remove it? Already cracked it a little :(
  21. i've found just cleaning leather is the best thing to do, the conditioners don't seem to change anything after they have dried.
  22. VR6 Pete Are those brackets for sale from Daves16v still, i never noticed the thread, i have the 90 degree ones that fit from above slam panel. But need those ones with the bit sticking out.
  23. my reply a bit late, was looking through my folder
  24. i think the numbers for VR track rods are 1H0422803A & 1H0422804A They could be something else though the description on my receipt isn't too good £55 each
  25. I reckon he spoke to someone who was misinterpreting a diagram wrong but also right.... There is definately VR specific track rods as it does have a wider track and probably wider wheels too.
