  1. i'd happily pay £5k for a really good one, its worth it if its actually mint. I'm sure a properly mint A1 condition example would be worth more. I think the next 5yrs will be quite interesting, as the 2nd parts values seem to be going mad, yet people struggle to sell a complete car. I don't think the prices will drop anymore, but corrados will be getting rarer. There always seems to be 3-4 being broken each time i look in classified section. What are mk2 golf prices like at the moment?
  2. Yeah, i should really get out and meet up with some fellow corrado fans. always seems to be something up with my car when the chance comes around  it should be back on the road by the time the roads aren't so dirty
  3. have you got the pink G12+++++++++ coolant? really helps when spotting leaks, i found mine hard to trace as the VR6 bay is quite a warm place so leaks dry up. I've had them from Aux water pump, thermostat housing, radiator, underside of a coolant pipe
  4. You mean no hair? Couple of possibilities 3corsameal; Saturday; Long Melford Bypass/Sudbury - I was in the passenger seat and original owner was in drivers seat Sunday - Same area again. Me and mate in car Sunday afternoon - Great Cornard/Bures/Ballingdon/Sudbury. that would of been you then  My mate commented on how mint it looked, paintwork did look nice. I've been debating whether to get rid of my debadged grill since seeing it. (i hardly even see corrados)
  5. i drove past a blue corrado just like that at the weekend, with two chaps in it. I was in my escort though so didn't wave. can't remember where i was, but pretty sure the chap driving had grey hair
  6. this is what happened when my switch went. The lights just wouldn't turn off. Be very careful and don't play around with switch too much, as i did that and it burnt out the wiring back to fuse box
  7. yeah, you could do that in green oak with decent gallows brackets for support instead of posts and a nice slate roof
  8. just been speaking to our planning guys and there seems to be a few factors that influence if you need planning or not. Depending on your neighbours etc, you could always add one and then if someone mentions it/complains, you could apply for retrospective planning
  9. was it on here that someone posted the one that fell down in the snow  EDIT: no it was another forum i use PMSL
  10. I design timber frame structures for my job, i make a 3D model of each bit of wood and then a machine cuts and labels every of wood from that. I don't mind helping you design something if you went down that route. ^some wood
  11. So these are cool, but a rear window wiper should be removed and a rubber gromit put in the hole. is this correct, if i wanted to be a part of the scene :confused4:
  12. you might find the bits you need here http://www.biggred.co.uk/repairpricing.html i have rung them in the past and found them very helpful
  13. took the words out of my mouth  looks nice due to different wheels and some extra lowz, but doesn't mention much maintainence etc
  14. if these came standard on every corrado, the "in thing" to do would be to smooth them off.
  15. here it is after a couple of weeks on the road, hit a kerb, blew out two tyres and bent the alloys beyond repair, its great fun. saved the rado from all the salt, which was my main concern
  16. My solution was to buy this for £150, seems to of got me everywhere so far :)
  17. I have been told that shortly all HIDs are to made illegal/mot fail in the UK unless the car came from factory with them.......anyone else hear this?
  18. i did try to delete this thread after about the 3rd reply, but couldn't... its haunting me now :(
  19. my mate had one of these, they looks great on the octavia rims.
  20. i couldn't remember a length from memory, but i bought a roll of the stuff and yes, used the old ones as a template. although once fited each end you can still bend the stuff around to get the best fit
  21. i can only help with the brake question. I had the same union round off when fitting my 288's and had to cut the brake line and replace. Its not as hard as it looks.
  22. any publicity is good publicity? 5 pages about the CCGB, wonder if its inspired anyone else to sign up? Sorry for my negative comment, i appreciate the fact i got a card, but didn't like the dirty corrado with a tow bar. I'm only really interested in receiving the sprinter mag which i don't seem to get. (think i have just been a grumpy git recentely) :(
  23. got mine now, thanks very much for your efforts
