Here's my escort, had terrible paint, like it had been washing with a brillo pad Bonnet before :! After and a 50/50

i find the power gloss is quite a big step up in polish, i have been using it with the white menz pad I have been polishing an escort i won on ebay and the power gloss seems to do a lot more cutting a lot more quickly than all the others i have, power finish and final finish, but its expected i spose, i also find i have to re-polish the paint afterwards as that combo doesn't leave it very shiny

my clutch made a creaky groan noise as i pushed it down, it went away when i got clutch replaced and felt like new, but 10,000miles later the clutch is feeling a bit stiffer and harder to push down

this would also be my suggestion :norty:

i once had some guy trying to convince me that my numberplate is a private plate, even though its just any old 6 digit numberplate

^^the fixed column mod is pretty much on my list to do, i think i will get the parts soon, i bought a 2nd hand rack but unsure how to test its condition. Not sure whether to fit it, or just try and buy a new one and then my mind will be at rest

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctcNHDLiB9Q recorded this on the phone cam, hope the link works. This has been going on a while now, noise is from the bottom of column. When driving i can take a bend about 60mph with a quarter lock of steering and if i hit a small bump you can feel the car/wheels move themselves, like the wheels turns but steering wheel doesn't. Can be quite unsettling at times

i'd get a r32 gtr if i was to get one

My policy that i have been really happy with went up, i was with HIC, tried Chris Knott and they were no better and also didn't do multicar policy. ended up with Admiral and got a really good price for both cars, saved me easily over £100

not sure if wd40 is the exact same thing as damp start but i know you can spray damp start everywhere, does sound like the coilpack/dizzy to me
-

love this VW engineering i hear so much about. was commenting on this lastnight, after another mates van door has broken. considering the VW advert has recentely been people shutting doors and saying "just like a VW" well thats my corrado, mates mums polo, two transporter vans, all having problems with the door locks/shutting being crap

should the AUX water pump run when ignition is on ?
Jim Bowen replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
i wondered if turning lights on turned some sort of ignition circuit on? as my pump comes on as soon as i turn ignition on too -
push it away from you once to wipe, it will wipe, then push it again, it will wipe once more then stop. when i first got corrado i drove all the way to work with the rear wiper on  sent me mad

should the AUX water pump run when ignition is on ?
Jim Bowen replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
i found out lastnight that, i can have car sat there, no keys in ignition, if i press the headlight switch on, i get quite a loud click from under bonnet and the water pump starts up? is this normal? -
not keen on having a ham cowling tbh :gag:
-
i'm pretty much set on doing this mod when i fit a rack, so will be interested in the cowlings
-
do you have to have a turbo for this?

i hate this about this country and insurance companies, we pay through the noses for insurance we hardly use, then when people crash they are "better off" forking out themselves for repair bills, because its costs more in insurance. wtf is the insurance for?
