  1. have done all wheel bearings too, can only be the steering rack now i think on mine, which i've already got another to go on. they were weitec ultra GT springs and shocks, have since tried different springs with different top mounts, but sold all that and now have the KW V1 coilovers (only as i found the spring kits too low)
  2. just got rid of google chrome as that made no difference. have been using the above link all morning and so far everything is working well
  3. basically i'm in need of plenty of advice
  4. Usually i have been going to VW dealers for everything but it seems that i don't need to buy all the parts from there. Just wondering which of the following parts you would only replace with genuine VW parts, or if not where else should i look. my list so far: Accelerator Cable Aux Belt for aircon, alternator etc Engine/gearbox Mounts - Keep hearing these VT mounts being recommended Under Bonnet insulation Coolant temp senders, not sure what my aux water pump is up to or if its wrong. For some of my problems i may just rebuild what i can on the car so its driveable then take to stealth or someone who knows whats what as i'm a bit lost on some areas. Like the aux water pump always coming on (its a new VW one so worried i may of ruined it) Also my ABS system seems to be disconnected under the bonnet and the light in dash is cut to bits so never lights up. Am looking at taking all the front end apart again, refitting all suspension, steering rack and probably the fixed column mod, thinking i may as well try and remove subframe and refurbish all that, does engine need to come out of car for that? also thinking i should do the timing chains now, but wonder if thats worth it on 194,000miles, (knowing my luck i'd do them then the engine would fail on something else) Its either sort all this lot out or split the car and sell in bits, but i would rather have 1 last attempt at sorting it out
  5. wishbones, ball joints, track rods and ends, all new suspension too, and still drives poo
  6. pretty certain mine is on the rad cover
  7. mine 100% came with bushes fitted, both wishbones for a VR6 from VW dealers, probably took photos somewhere
  8. mine deffo came with rear bushes and they were about £75 each when i last bought a VR wishbone. I thought the whole idea was that it came with a bush already mounted?
  9. might get some of them stickers, i bought some in the past from this forum, but the yellow one was the wrong size, are there different ones, i may just order both
  10. LuckyB's one? 2.1 16v? 0-60mph under 5secs?
  11. i think a few people have said they notice it, obviously not as short tempered as me about it though  corsas are great in there own special way, you could build one that beats a corrado vr6 for half the price of a vr6, and the corsa will probably be more realible, just no where near as good looking
  12. i have this thing called trend micro security and it does some real time scan, where i think it checks things as you open or use them??? I'm not too clued up as it was installed by a chap we got in at work to do all the pc's. thing is, its doesn't seem to be on any other forum i get the problems. i have the same routine with the internet nowadays, i visit the same few forums, facebook, & ebay and i only suffer here. Which makes me think its something with this forum that is different to most? i don't know anymore. i don't see that i should have to learn and work out all this techno-babble when everything else is fine can't be my router as i use this laptop from different locations using different routers.
  13. and that reply posted instantly? yet the one before i have to sit and wait, its a bit like the internet in the 90's
  14. this is crap, taken ages still i get the message at the bottom "waiting for the corrado forum net" i will ask the chap who runs the corsasport forum as that fine and always been spot on, just a shame its not about corrados :(
  15. why does my original post have adverts in it, wonder if its the adverts giving me problems
  16. well that reply took a while to post, this is what angered me yesterday and before, i keep typing out replies then they won't post, at least the above actually posted in the end
  17. i have installed the google chrome now and going to see how that goes. Tis strange as i used to use the forum quite a lot and never had a problem for the first few years
  18. i'm keeping mine and will give it to the future grandchildren to take on antiques road show, they will be like celebrities to anyone who owns a VW
  19. Still having problems with this forum running slow, been sat here punching keyboard as it REALLY bothering me now, can't for the life of me find out what or why, The COMPLETE internet is fine for me, just this forum is causing me problems. Tried it from a mates PC and i ran into the same problem. When i visit here, i click the new posts, and go through the list opening all the ones i want to read in a new tab, then reading them all at the end once opened.
  20. i can't get to mine for ****, been trying for ages, am taking rad out to do it when i get around to it, but only as i want to clean everything up anyway
  21. no, not at all, i'm really grateful you have found some for us. Thanks. i just know a lot of people will want/need a pair and others will buy a pair and then spare sets (which will probably just sit in a box in the garage) then they run out for the people who want them. Bit like the revell models, or the aerial gaskets.
  22. i will buy all of them please and then sell them onto to fellow corrado fans at an inflated price because i've bought them all and no one can buy anymore.
  23. i'll have a pair, but have you got any pics of them fitted? could be my eyes but they look slightly different to me
  24. wow, love the paint, looks amazing, i need some of that
  25. i also decided to type some sort of spec or just a list of how the car is and what i've done, mainly for my own mind as i'm starting to forget. 1995 Volkswagen Corrado 2.9 VR6 Classic Green Pearl Black Leather Recaro Interior (Electric movement & heated) Modifications KW Variant 1 coilovers (inox) 288mm Golf front brakes + goodridge hoses Mk4 Golf rear brakes + goodridge hoses Powerflex rear beam bushes BMC Cda air induction kit Magnex oval cat-back exhaust Gruvenparts alloy radiator neck Gruvenparts alloy coolant/crack pipe Gruvenparts alloy aux pump bracket Samco coolant hoses Mk2 Audi TT wiper arms & blades (2x drivers side) FK Debadged front grill Smoked headlight protectors Clear side repeaters Replaced parts Original Speedline wheels professionally refurbished Top mounts complete set Wheel bearings complete set Wishbones + bushes Balljoints ARB Droplinks Track rods & ends Coilpack & leads Radiator Thermostat housing Clutch kit Aux water pump Handbrake cables Brake lines Bonnet release cable Sub frame bolts Leather Gear knob Foot pedal rubbers Roof aerial & rubber seals Have also got a chore list nearly as long of things i need to sort out this year, have noticed the start of rust on the front wings and tailgate (i reckon tailgate has been resprayed in the past) Have decided i should really check out the timing chains and tensioners as i don't know what state they are in after 194,000miles, the steering rack is to be replaced and think i may attempt the fixed column polo one that i've heard of on here. so i think front end will be coming to bits, subframe off, engine out if it has to? going to clean the bay up and reassemble, i think i have most of the bits already so most of it should just be labour, apart from any painting i may have to pay out for.
