  1. gave it a quick polish :dorky: :dorky: :dorky:
  2. No, you don't need slots or holes drilled in your discs
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0457374174 bought that, worth a punt, its off a golf, so must be similar
  4. diggin around the forum looking for what the bracket looks like is it anything like this?
  5. deffo the rear ones, MIMS but with the spokes the same colour as the front wheel 8)
  6. right, excuse my ignorance. have used the search and think i've found out what i need to know. have pm'd Daves16v to see if he is still up for making one if not does anyone have pictures or a diagram of the bracket?
  7. i've noticed this now, the rear hanger bracket on the car is wrong for the mounting on the back box do magnex supply a different rear hanger bracket then?
  8. Jetex are meant to be good quality too, not seen one myself but looked into them all recentely. I was told last week that unless they have the one you want in stock there is a 3-4 week wait. The Jetex systems are a different price as one is a 3 box system the other is a 2? is that what you mean?
  9. that looks great, white on white makes it look more modern
  10. do you mean the white plastic bits? they are just a ball and cup fitment. does the arm pull out of it easily?
  11. sound advice, i think rather than bothering to risk anything for about £10 i will find another use for this and buy some from VW for the corrado
  12. well, i found myself a magnex system on ebay, 100miles use and £145, so cancelled the miltek and the new one arrived today was a bit skeptical as the advert had no photos and seemed odd to only use it for 100miles but looks good to me.
  13. got the engine out this weekend (not me in the photos btw)
  14. this is the stuff from gsf is it ok to mix with the stuff from VW dealership?
  15. am sure it would be simple to make one
  16. i was using the same combo as everywhere else, and its only the one area the paint turned white, I know this to be an area which has been resprayed in the past. the rest of the car i could use the same pad and polish (even the next harsher pad and polish) and it was all ok. strange thing is, the repainted area which i polished through showed up as the thickest area with a paint depth gauge, it was nearer 200, rest was nearer to 100 like i say the area i've ruined is so tiny, most people won't notice it, its on the edge of the shoulder just under window
  17. yes, very slow going and boring, also gets a bit annoying. i polished through the paint on the rear quarter, didn't want to admit it, but its not so bad :pale:
  18. isn't there some earths on the right hand side behind dash?
  19. i usually do get it from the dealer, i just added some to my last order from gsf to bulk it out a bit. i got a photo of whatever it is, i'll upload at some point
  20. got to be something electrical, have you knocked any wires off or got any shorting out?
  21. the worst case, as long as you weren't doing over 100mph is 3 points and £60 isn't it? i think my insurance only went up 10%, which equated to £50 spread over a year.
  22. i was overtaking cars, went over a hill and the police were pointing a camera in my direction, i was going faster than the delorean when it goes back to the future. thought i'd got caught, but never heard anything in the post
