  1. mine did the same not long after replacing the rad, i don't think i had routed it correctly when i put it back on. with one side already open you should be able to pull the catches with a metal rod that has a hook on the end
  2. might turn mine on and see if it works, (which i know it doesn't) should reallytry to get it working this year
  3. Excellent, Gonna try finding it in a min...... i wasn't sure if it was under the seats or not. But have now taken the front two out anyway to give the inside a proper clean. Was sweating getting them back in
  4. where do i find the fuses for the electric seats? both of mine have stopped working in all directions. I thought i remember seeing a fuse between the switches on seat base but i must be thinking of another car?
  5. can you get any of this stuff? i've been trying to get some but told you cannot buy it like every other product? btw have you tried making a leaflet, showing what you do and putting that through doors? once you get a few interested people then word of mouth should do the rest
  6. i just used standard corrado discs and pads on the rear, but everything was new. although it took ageees for the brakes to feel any good to me, my handbrake was still a bit naff for months afterwards
  7. my TT wipers have been great until i decided to clean them with some fancy wiper cleaner, now they judder and its really annoyed me, as they were fine before

  10. thats what we have been looking at :) i think the aim is to get it to about 200bhp. its got drum brakes all round at the moment, thinking of getting a front disk conversion for it
  11. awesome, i heard all the rumours but didn't believe it would happen. wonder how long before he quits (again)
  12. finally started work on the beast! from: to: got a 300tdi engine to go in now, just got to decide on a gearbox. Its got 28yrs of dirt/mud on it, so looks old and crusty but its actually really solid still. So carrying on stripping it and then doing a complete nut and bolt rebuild.
  13. Sometimes people just have nothing to add - especially on areas where things have been discussed many many times over the course of the forums history. Service items are one of those things! FWIW, I'd go to VW for all service items to be honest. i used to feel the same when i 1st joined, no one replied to some questions. now i've been here a while i do find myself not replying to questions already been asked. :norty:
  14. -36mm socket for the oil filter housing -Ht lead tool -Long extension for your sockets to get spark plugs don't forget to buy a copper washer for the sump (like me)
  15. i'll add that to my rumour :norty:
  16. what part of the rear top mounts do you need? i have a spare set of most of the non-rubber parts if you need any bits
  17. they were two separate companies, and KW bought weitec out. So KW just own the company. Bit like why you don't get lambo suspension on a lupo, even though VW owns them both. Well thats the internet rumour i've heard anyway.
  18. i'd be very interested to see some photos of said Jetex system on the verge of ordering an exhaust
  19. well i somehow got a bargain from them
  20. my mate just bought a really tidy 1.0 polo, think its on an n-reg and cost just under £600 with 57,000miles on it. Was loads around for sale when we looked, and the prices really vary, he nearly bought the same car but in a 5dr and it was advertised for £1800
  21. dug out my recent as i swear the prices have changed i bought KW1 in december and they cost £510 new, also when they arrived they were the Inox ones too. That was from g-werks
  22. ahhh, thats something i understand now. my rear ones look crap, everything else is new, but its just certain parts of the disc are rusty
