i have two standard front grills and noticed today that one has all the slats open, the other only the bottom one? i guess the open one would be much better in terms of keeping bay cool

just out of interest (nice C btw, the best option you can get imo, a green storm), but what does the crack pipe do?

its the weitec ultra gt kit, -40mm, but fitting with early top mounts, not sure if that makes a difference tomorrow i'm putting on Pi springs and late top mounts. its deffo lower at the front by about 5-10mm

painted always looks wrong to me, its needs a texture and not to be shiny imo plus i've heard people moan about it on a sunny day :lol:

after lowering my car, i have noticed the front is a bit lower than the rear, i actually quite like it like that. but are they like that as standard? or has this been caused by the top mount arrangement? am changing springs again tomorrow and going to use late top mounts, so will see if it changes

is there a rough diagram or pic of how the loom should be?

do you do all this type of work yourself then Dom? good stuff 8)

i'll be interested in this, after driving in the dark and rain lastnight and realising i can only see a few metres in front of me and next to nothing if there are oncoming cars, wouldn't like to drive my car on roads i don't know :shock: even some tips on how to make them would be good

its a silly situation really, as i wanted to replace all my steering parts with stuff from VW, so sent off my membership so i could get the 10% discount, waited 3weeks and no sign of card, so i hung on, in the end i ran out of time waiting for card so had to order all the bits at full price, just over £500. the card arrived the day i was fitting all the bits :lol: typical. I didn't realise the length of time involved with joining. also when i tried to join forum i didn't get any response from sending emails, so i couldn't access forum/site etc, then out of the blue a week or two later i thought i'd try logging in, and it must have been activated without letting me know. i don't really display my car at shows etc, i spose i got a sticker and a pampflet out of it :lol: anyway i'm not one to moan :lol:

I'm going to have to get that cheque sent to rejoin CCGB, then I can see the website! its crap imo, nothing on there, or maybe i can't find it. tbh probably the worse corrado related £10 i've spent :lol:

is the glass attached to the motor lug bits?

i did notice that something on the rear of engine sounds quite hissy at idle, not sure if its related. could well be chain related as i've not had those looked at yet i wish it was a GF :lol:

it sounds like my alarm which was fitted when car was new. a vag 5000 also known as a scorpion??, and i was told by insurance that its no longer thatcham approved. mine is an alarm & immob, has the siren next to the coolant, and the previous owner had problems with the car not starting which was down to immob, not sure when it is tho? is it near the drivers side suspension turrent by the bulkhead, i may be thinking of another car

i hate looking at pics of deaded corrados :( especially the same colour as mine, i remember another thread with a chap pranged his at the nurburgring, that was also green gives me nightmares :lol:

at what point do people toss up the options of fully rebuilding the VR6 or doing a 24v conversion, its something i been thinking about recentely. is there an average guide cost of each option? pros & cons? i spose it would be nice to have a fully rebuilt vr6 than a 2nd hand 24v

only very slight, hard to notice, but its when your driving hard and the "growl" kicks in, you can hear a slight whine, thats the only way i can describe it really sounds like its 100% do with the engine bit vague really, some chap i gave a lift to the other week said he could hear my fuel injection something making a noise? i couldn't hear anything tho and ignored him

oohhh noooo :( gutting. i fear this kinda thing happening to me, doesn't matter how good a driver you are, there's plenty of bad ones around

i've always been one to think that matt paint jobs look better in photos than real life

it is a geniune one? is so many fake versions around

i found the whole thing came out pretty easy, just tip the top forwards then lift bottom up, it all makes sense when you sit back and work out how it was put in

from the diagrams i have it say 10nm or 7lb/ft it is in the bentley manual but in the supplement section at the back
