did you just buy VAG parts from the dealership? i might start amassing all the bits i need, i already need to buy discs and pads all round, hopefully the calipers will be alright for a while, but ideally i want to upgrade them at some point. not sure what to get? i've had the droplinks down a while ago, bloke said top mounts had been changed already, how much are these ball joints?

now you mention a belt, there is a noise when i start car, which sounds like a belt type of noise, everyone says it sounds like a starter motor over running but to me it sounds like a belt having a groan :lol:

before i bought the car and took it for a test drive i noticed when parking etc the steering would creak and whine quite a bit when turning, especially turning wheels quickly at low speed. the chap who owned car said it was something to do with the top mounts, i'm sure he said it started after he replaced them? anyway it seems to be more noisy now, also has a kinda metallic vibrating noise, hard to describe but sounds like metal vibrating almost a buzz i spose and the steering clunks when you are stationary and turn the steering wheel left and right, or when you are driving over bumps etc any ideas? i was thinking of getting ball joints replaced, the car generally feels unstable at speed and feels like effort to keep up with lesser more modern cars round the bends

i noticed a hole for a screw can this be replaced, fecks knows where u buy 1 screw :lol: or 2 as its the same on both sides

are they only held on by the wheel nuts? is this normal? i can take a wheel off and then the disc is free to spin etc?

i only want to fix whats broke, not sure i want to fiddle around with much. do you have to buy the bulbs from the main dealer?

depends what you like really, has never interested me, having a cover/feature car, but to some that all that matters, they just build cars get it featured then sell up to me its the same kinda mentality as wanting to be in the big brother house, like the lowest of all fame you could achieve :lol:

i can't seem to find anywhere that sells them online, only 12v 1.5w, not 1.8w

thats what i've heard, i've also seen the chap from max power on a few forums like the corsa one asking what people think now. i've still not bought one tho, its tarred with a brush and i don't wanna be seen holding one in the queue to pay for it :lol:

mine gets thru oil too, but that seems normal to me for such a large engine with 150,000miles on it doesn't really seem to cause any adverse effects so i'm living with it not sure how much it uses/leaks, but i've gotten thru 2 of the bottles of syntha silver over 18,000miles??? is that bad?

thats pretty impressive stuff, i worry about my leather cracking etc, not sure it i have the guts to take sandpaper to it, not even sure how bad it is really my steering wheel needs doing as well

Rather than me make a new thread about dash bulbs can i join this one? i noticed that my speedo is dark from 60mph - 100mph area, i think a bulb has gone. are they easily replaced? do i need to much stuff apart to reach them?

i used to be a bit of a corsa nut :( hence my username :lol: its quite easy for them to fit either the 2.0 16v C20XE or faster still the turbo veriosn C20LET C20XE puts out about 150/160bhp standard and a corsa is fairly simple to make lightweight 900-1000kgs etc, Its very common nowadays for people to fit em. And they estimate a 0-60 of 6.5secs with the 20xe i would of thought they would easily beat a 16v corrado

i once came down a large hill doing a fair few leptons, and out of nowhere this sparrow (could of been a blackbird, was all a bit of a blur) came zooming past me as if i was going backwards :shock: :shock: pigeons are no probs, they normal veer off and let me past

the ones i have are the 3 pin style, like a bowling balls holes. the holes in the nuts are all scretched and look like the eyes of the "scream" mask now :lol: i've also snapped the key on past cars are there better ones to get? more robust? i take it i need? m14 x 1.5 locking nuts

i always find in my VR its either settled once your going over 80mph against most things :lol: off the line i reckon alot of smaller cars are quicker, but i don't like accelerating hard in 1st

you can fart in a nova and it adds performance :lol:, they weigh feck all, doesn't take much to get 160bhp per ton in them. i had a porsche 911 turbo pull away from me at the weekend :lol: then he slowed and settled down at 110mph so i kept my distance
