  1. i';ve just read all this thread and i'm thinking i might just go to garage with some photos and a list of bits i want done  are the bits pictured above just called track rod ends? is it those that need replacing? or some rack as well? so far i'm thinking -lower ball joints -rear wheel bearing (mainly as i've had fronts done anyway) -top mounts, front and rear and bearings or some sort? i don't think i'll touch the rack/column until its the last resort
  2. the guy at VW said the bearing was part of the disc or something along those lines? i want to replace both discs and bearings at the rear, do they come seperately or do you have to press them in somewho?
  3. yeah, i'm sure its a really genuine car, have seen the guy post quite a bit about the car since he got it. I don't think i'll be buying one anytime soon, i'll stick with the corrado, only just got a pug 306 as a runaround anyway
  4. i really like these as well as corrados this one is sale, is on a corsa site i used to use :? what do people here think of them? does anyone know much about them? http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewt ... tid=368092
  5. i've wanted one for so long, i have a photo of a pearl green VR shown at the 92/93 motorshow at the NEC :) i took them when i was 11yrs old  now at 25 i've got a pearl green VR the same as the one at motorshow, i swear its the same car  not sure if i ever want to sell it, i'd rather just save for another car, i don't really change cars very often anyway, had 1st car for 3yrs, 2nd for 5yrs, now got the corrado i've always been more in love with the looks then the performance, even tho mines pretty standard
  6. Tiger seal is good stuff, but i think its hard to get hold of, i think only people in the trade can get it?? feck knows
  7. made my own auction http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0122229099 the chap i got CD from hasn't even sent me a validation code, emailed him twice now, not much else i can do really
  8. when my motor was broken it only wound the wipers up and not back down, on all settings, sounds like a relay fault or a naff connection on the stalk maybe?
  9. i am just looking through this ELSA cd and am looking at the VR6 golf section to try and find out about front calipers it seems to show different types, i'm not sure if thats what its showing but they are headed Girling Brake Caliper VW II Caliper? Teves/ATE Caliper i'm a bit lost here and finding this CD utter crap tbh, wish i had known
  10. oops i just made the same thread pretty much before spotting this one
  11. installed it and it says bugger all about corrado, only a small bit on engine :( does anyone else have this and found it not very useful?
  12. i heard about the adding someone so tried with my mum on my policy, she has never crashed, nor sped, been driving 20yrs+ and it put my insurance UP by over £100??? weird, was the guy i bought corrado from that mentioned it
  13. i see that halfords will check the level for free, now for these monkeys to be able to do it then so must i? anyone know how you check? i notice you can also buy what looks like a "refill your aircon at home" type kits?
  14. does it show folk where the exits are for small animals and children that get sucked under the front of? can you get them without the arrows and text, so just corrado. not for my car, but am sure i will find somewhere, i quite like it
  15. i think you get alot of wheelspin , but driven well it must be great fun and put a big grin on your face. until you stop, then your just sat in a corsa :(
  16. has anyone ever bought a car from them? or even been to see them? looking at their website makes me think they must be the single biggest collection of corrados in UK? i'm sure that one VR i saw advertised locally very cheaply was bought by them
  17. got any pics/vids of that mate? i wanted to build a fast corsa, but decided it was better to buy a VR6 and then use that
  18. just been to VW and got some prices, the steering noise was making a horrible noise when parking :! really must sort that, it deffo coming from the wheel area, almost sounds like the disc wobbling, is fine if the car is moving even if only a little, but turning on the spot or when your just using the biting point of the clutch to move it sounds BADDDD :( anyway some prices got (just the parts) -discs & pads all round + bits needed = £276 -ball joints on the front = £76
  19. looks good Martin, i'd like to know what its like to drive on the roads near us. i find mine as standard a bit horrible on certain roads, what kit is it?
  20. £40 for a badge seems stupid to me still, i'd pay up to £10 or £15, but anything more i'd feel like an idiot :(
  21. love it, just like mine i paid £4k but it had 130,000 miles
  22. i use to have a corsa before the corrado, i wasn't into chavvy bodykits, big stereo etc but i still kinda visit the forum i use to use anyway this is an impressive video, bit long, but the guy has done all the work on his drive with some mates. http://media.putfile.com/corsa-version- ... -making-of dyno run at the end is quite good, it has since run some quarter miles in around 12.3 secs
  23. i mainly want a "corrado" script badge in chrome, like i say i tried spraying it but seems its impossible to get a decent finish with a paint
