mmmm bacon sandwiches. I spose seeing as you got the car so cheap you can afford to splash out on the bacon
-
Lovely, thanks for the pics, how much do you want for it? What do you reckon about posting it? I can book and pay for courier etc, but they will probably want some packaging chucked on it.
-
I should do this have tried to keep things bagged or plugged in. But recall seeing an electrical connector cleaner spray.
-
Looks like the rare mega money loom for a pair of heated seats.
-
Anyone got these or seen them on a corrado? Am looking for some rims and would rather buy new. These popped up and remind me of the 17" speedlines. Had a search but can't seem to find much about them on here.
-
Pics would be great. Are there actually any differences in corrado beams. They seem to have the same part number but with a different letter at the end. And vagcat is a bit confusing. I seem to remember someone finding it out the hard way.
-
TTT Still got these taking up room, will listen to offers
-
Right, i definitely need a beam now. Mine is buggered. Lilfuzzer, have you got a spare VR beam? Any pics? Also i might need to try and arrange a courier to collect it. Or anyone else with one nearer to Essex?
-
I want them to do a special with a corrado, i reckon it could manage all that.

Removed my rear beam and bushes, i had the powerflex ones, must of gone in about 4yrs ago. When i removed the old standard bushes there was no corrosion in the mounting points. Just removed the powerflex ones and was lots of rust, took ages to get the bushes out. I started to knock the rust out with a hammer and screw driver and found a hole. The metal is rotten, so need a new beam now, (and will be using standard bushes)

Yeah you can pull it in the car from the bay. I think the biggest connector is the one on the ecu. Just removed all mine if you need anything.
-
I bought those sticky velcro dots to hold my scuttle on.
-
I will try it, been looking for other alternatives to try. I think my windscreen slipped a little and is about 1-2mm low so may have to bond it in, the seal on there at the moment keeps popping out.
-
Sorted, bought one. Thanks.

Got them rings off now, think i will worry about what i fit back when i get nearer putting them on, got lots of other bits to get on with. Think my rear discs and pads weren't working very well, am not sure if i had the wrong discs or wrong pads, i had new mk4 calipers put on a few years back. Check pics. Other disc Seems like the pads weren't making full contact with the disc. Someone else fitted these, was before i started doing my own work. In other news, i got my clutch slave cylinder back from pastparts, they refurbish them and fit a stainless sleeve inside.

Have a look at Eastwood rubberised rust encapsulation, i'm about to try it out on mine.
-
Not totally sure without looking. Bought a few bits at the same time. Will check the invoice.
-
I smashed all the clips off. Really hard to undo.
-
Are the lips needed? It's been a nice weekend up to my ears in lips and flaps. Doesn't happen very often.
-
Just ripped it open. At least I know the glue was strong enough now. Flap was wrong. Glad I posted a pic. Well spotted. Also sorted the other flap out. It must of skipped some teeth at some point. Works properly now. Not got enough glue left to put it back together so will do that tomorrow.
-
Just checking it out and seems as if the other flap has jumped some gears at some point. Doesn't move as far as it should. Best get the hammer out again.
-
Ahh ****. I think you're right. Looking at the bit of foam on the smaller flap it doesn't touch anything. Going to check now. See if that glue dried lol
-
 I don't think so. Want to try and do the rust treatment when its a bit drier outside, so might be a few months yet.

While dash is out i may as well fit some better dash tweeters, would i be best buying some door speakers that come with tweeters and cross overs etc? Any recommendations? Not looking for massive sounds, just better than standard and to fit in standard dash/door pods. I've not bought car speakers for about 12yrs

What happened to this build, just been looking through it, looks like some great work gone into it...
