Anyone know where to buy nineties style reg plates ie the style that would have been on our c's when they left the showroom. As far as i'm aware you can't get them in shops anymore.

My window wipers occasionally stop a couple of inches from their normal resting place on both intermittent wipe and constant wipe. Any ideas what is causing this? I'm thinking the relay?
-
tonytiger, Cheers mate, yeah i got it and was about to put a pic up! I found it was a hell of a lot easier to just take the dash off then i could see what i was doing. Matrix was in good condition and it was the original one too! Changed it anyway to be on the safe side.

I just wedged the window up when i did mine no need to take it out. Pig of a job though! More fiddly than anything else!

BigTartanJudge, I've heard that you can get your insurance company to pay your excess then claim it back themselves, they have some kind of fund for it if you can't afford to pay it. Could be worth a try, i'll certainly be trying that if someone crashes in to me! -
Mk2 golf seats fit but sit a good bit higher than c seats. Still driveable though.
-
Keep it Dave! then if the VR needs any trim bits etc you can help yourself from the 8v! Plus black C's are the best too.........
-
CaiosG60 PWR, Did you ever find out a part umber for an 02j box with the same ratios as a VR6 but with 100mm flanges? About to buy a mk3 golf 16v box but if theres an ideal 20vt box i'll hold out. excellent thread btw! oh and before anyone else says it, holy thread resurrection batman!!!
-
NickVR6, Excellent idea mate! Thats what i'll do, mount it to the trim you are talking about then hide the cable underneath the trim all the way to the cluster. I reckon its an important mod for a lowered rado, i'd imagine in a van or an hgv you would struggle to see the standard brake lights especially up close. Just need some daylight now! Is it still reasonably bright from that distance away from the window?
-
Just had a thought, is there a cable already in the loom for the american cars that had the third brake light as standard?
-
kevHaywire, I'm in the process of doing this at the moment, where did you run the cable for the light? I'm hoping there is an easier way than feeding it through the c pillar!!!
-
v interested to know the answer to this......
-
I just folded my passenger seat flat, reckon i could easily keep up with a veyron now.....
-
I'm interested to know the answer this too.

What hose is the one that goes from the fpr (i think) to the throttle body on the left hand side if facing the engine? It looks as if i really need to replace that one!
