Very nice mate, real nice wheels and height. If you want suggestions i would get rid of the rear wiper, cleans up the rear end nicely. Ironic really as that is what the wiper is supposed to do!

jenks, Apologies for the jinx mate! It did sound really healthy, did you try more fuel? Met your mate with your old red valver on the way home and had a natter, got the bumper on mine and its looking much better. Oh and it is looking sweeeet, i won't spoil the surprise regarding the no. plates. But all i can say is its a fine looking machine! Looking forward to pics.

There was a yellow valver around my way for ages but haven't seen it for a while. Nugget yellow has really grown on me especially on split rims with dark centres.

Elephant have come up trumps for me too, £360 FC with 4 years ncb. And the girl on the phone sounded hot with her lovely cardiff accent!

MattyB, Have you tried a small pulley'd G60? They have loads of power low down in the revs and are frantic compared to the refined VR which can be ore fun imo. I loved my mates ITR jap import 14.56 1/4 mile but know what you mean about on/off performance. For me the G60 is a good compromise between thrills and usability.

Ideal i found out that pristine have an agent in Edinburgh who ccan take my wheels and send them down south. £72 per wheel inc carriage which sounds pretty good, i think i'm going to go for polished bare metal rather than lacquered. I don't mind waxing the wheels every week.

I've now got 205/45/16s on my rears and they still look the part just not quite as stretched. They were only £40 too but its all down to the brand of tire and how big the rim protector is.

retroactivefunk, Just watch when you go to buy tires, i got a set of yokohama paradas (205/40/16) put on and they left about an inch of bare rim either side! Afaik federals are one of the few tires that have enough rim protector to cover the wheel with that amount of stretch. Glad to know of another brand now though.

retroactivefunk, What brand of tire are you using? They look like federal 595s which is what i run on my 16x9s (205/40/16). I don't hang about in corners and i've never had any grief. The fact that they look amazing is worth swappig for boring wheels come mot time imo.

Can anyone recommend a place anywhere in britain that refurb diamond cut wheels and re-lacquer them? As usual no one in Scotland will touch them!

g-man, Can you supply Brock wheels? I'm looking in to buying a new set of my existing wheels as refurbing is looking more expensive. 2 Brock B2 7.5x16 and 2 9x16.

I just bought one from a breaker and it had the bush on it, passats have the same type of cable (although different length) so you could go to a scrapyard and butcher the passat cable for the bush, then fit it to your c cable.
