i had a plastic rocker cover on my vr raddo storm, does that mean its obd2? im thinking no, guessing tey just used it quieten the engine down?

bugger, ha ha, how much you looking for, might be able to sell them for you before you do, if i dont want them , i know a man who might? B.T.W Got the manifold and cover on on saturday morning, looks well sweet, changed rocker cover bolts to stainless m6's with washers, and changed all my manifold bolts to stainless allen head bolts too. Looks alot better imo. Will post some pics when i get ma pc going again.

just used some stainless m6 bolts outta ma parts tin, worked fine, look better witht the polished cover too. also replaced manifold bolts with stainless versions, looks sweet.

got mine done by a chap on club gti website, charged me 100.00 for mirror finish on vr manifold and rocker cover, including return postage. Recieved them back yesterday, they are absolutely mint, look awesome! Is it ok to run plug leads under manifold as someone asked in another thread? Will look better as i still got standard leads?

ive heard of one snapping, and coiling up at the bottom of the engine around the lover sprocket,shearing it off. Was about 2k for a new crank or summit,was told this by my mate who's a mechanic. Also bent valves etc.

so where can i get the bolts from? or can i cut the captive ones from the plasic cover? Need some for the weekend, as i too am fitting a polished cover ready for the summer, wicked!

Hi, i've just had an alloy rocker cover polished, to replace the standard one on my vr6? However the standard one is a black plastic item, which the bolts dont seem to come out of (haven't tried hard). Can i get some other bolts to fit through the alloy one? Do they need to be a specifix strength etc, or will any that fit do? CHeers

where can i get a roof rack from, i want one for my treck to austria in may! Also, i got quoted a similar 2k for a full doors open respray on my car, got very freindly with a chap who owns a garage, and a new £47k spray booth in his new unit! ha ha, but this price included paint, and flatting after laquer, and then a re laquer, then gflatting and polishing again, so finish will be like glass! He's very very good, did my last car (featured in golf+ apr 05 (i think).)

i had an indicated 145 outta my last raddo vr6, and that was about 10 minutes after i'd just bought it, ha ha, then i sold that one, and bought ma storm, seen an indicated 155 down a "private" road in that since, dont tend to drive that fast any more, got nothing to prove, as the raddo looks good, and drives well, so no need to go mad! Just got caught speeding on ma motorbike anyway, going to court on the 24th, uh oh!

i had this problem on my mk3 golf, fix as above, apparently its clutch dust getting onto it or so i was told!

i have recently been thinking about either supercharging or tubo charging my vr, and wondered what the main differances are? Ive been told turbo doesnt give much low down torque, where as a charger gives lots of torque and power? I've seen a bahn brenner turbo kit for the vr for 1200.00, which i thought was quite good. what does everyone think?

i've had my storm just past 150 ish, no problems, and mine is completely stock (at the minute) lol lol . Love the power it has, had many a thrash with other new "sports" cars, and beat nearly all of them! Just love the roar you get when its on full song!

mine got a new auxillery water oump and a new 120 amp alternator, an oil/filter change, and a drive into the arse of my mates corsa(in the snow),so its also getting a new indicator and fog lamp sooon!

ive used mine daily for the last 4 mnths, and i've been getting a steady 33 to the gallon, not bad eh, and thats an average from my MFA for over 1000 miles! I love it, defo gives you a 1st rate grin,and i like having the power behind you if you need it, or suddenly get the urge, if ya know what i mean!!
