  1. Ah bugger. Damage doesn't look so bad though compared to the other car! Good luck sorting it out stinkus. :)
  2. I have a similar problem... Heater control lights and cigarette lighter are not lit up. I take it there are other thngs on that fuse (which are working) so not a fuse. Took the front off earlier and it's hard to work out what's going on behind there... Any ideas?
  3. Have you tried the Scratch X yet Jim?
  4. Jesus... The poor thing wont know whether it's coming or going! Good luck. :)
  5. They made some dusty mauves that weren't campaigns (valvers). Also you can't vote more than once.
  6. Yup the only crap you get is the crap that's in the fuel itself - the filter takes that out which is why it's important to change your fuel filters people!
  7. I've just done the MK4 rears, good upgrade. Trying to get the caliper carrier off was fun though - Snapped my hex key on it (halfords professional though so I get a new one free!). Also you'll need new wheel bearings if you're changing the rear discs.
  8. I bet the Meguairs Scratch X will have a good go at it. That stuff is amazing.
  9. Don't sell, you'll regret it. There is no way that the money you'll get for it will be equal to what the car is worth to you.
  10. Sounds like 0bd2 time...
  11. Good work & wahaay for Draging Green!
  12. That's what I was thinking. Very similar to one of the most poular Corrado wheel mods.
  13. I would have killed for that interior. Planning on doing a tan retrim at the end of the year... But a one off Karmann interior would have been nice. :(
  14. Sounds like lambda then... or ECU.
  15. Sounds about right to me, as I said- I don't often go over 100. I don't often sit in traffic for 30 minutes though either.
  16. TBH, I was thinking about getting one but the highest i've ever seen my oil temp is 108 and it very rarely goes over 100. So I don't really need one do I?
  17. That makes sense, i've done MPG tests on my VR and it was over estimating by 10%. My OBD2 VR gets about 33MPG on average (displays 37.0).

Have you checked the Recommended Garages - South thread??
  19. Nah, keep the rear discs as standard mate ~ They don't do much braking anyway, it's all about the fronts. You can fit MK4 rear calipers for an improvement. If you want to do the fronts you'll need calipers, carriers, pads and discs off/for a MK3 highline golf. Plus you'll need some goodridge conversion hoses, do a search it has been covered a lot.
  20. If they are 16's you should easily get 288 MK3 Highline discs and calipers behind there. I can fit them under my 15 inch speedlines. You might even get some 312's behind there...
