So Walesy did you do this yourself in the end? Mine need doing and i'm going to go for it this weekend!
-
Really good work mate. :)
-
LOL Fancy helping me fit my brakes instead of stagging it?! Bodywork is getting done on 28th so i've got to get everything else done before then so I can MOT it again before the end of the month...

Bad news... Failed my MOT :( Ah well. Most of the failures were to do with rusting brake pipes... But the worst one is that my nearside sill is rusting away underneath, still I'm booked in the bodyshop for the 28th so it's something to add to the list! Other points included my rear lights (suprise suprise), one of my sidelights and my nearside balljoint. Good news... All my brake stuff is now here including brand new goodridge hoses, 288 discs, MK4 rear calipers, new handbrake cables..etc. So whilst fitting all that I can sort out the brake pipes as well. The MOT place said they can make up new pipes for me if I take the old ones in which is good. So I need to work out how to do a ball joint.. any tips? Could also do with another set of hands/head in doing the brake job... dave? tim? ;) (free beer) Pictures of the brake stuff & A picture of the new TB i've fitted alongside the old one which was kindly supplied by kevhaywire. Thanks :) It's a bored OBD2 TB which seems to over a slight improvement in pick up making the car a bit more perky. EDIT: Did an oil and plug change the other day as well so i'm running off silkolene now! :D

Good news Andy! :) So is it better news that when you found out she was kicking out 215BHP and flames come out of the exhaust?!

THat Phaeton looks like an AM Lagonda!

Do you still have the sidestrips? They'd need to go the same way for it to look right...
-
Probably the nicest looking red rado i've seen.... Good buy Jim.
-
Campaign & Jimbo on here both own one... I think there is a woman in Essex who owns one but doesn't really care much for its rarity, which leaves 2 as one has been written off (but I believe there is a member on here who has the interior from it).

One question: Will my car fly? ;) -
I might add I had spent quite a while trawling through old threads until I worked it out!

Don't worry eventually found it on the search. For future reference everyone ~ MK4 calipers and pads, Corrado everything else (including discs). Which means today I will mostly be buying.. 2x 60342 BRAKE DISC-REAR(5 STUD) B CO VR6 16.50 2x 60205 BRAKE DISC-VENTED 288mm B G3 2.8 VR6 MID 95>(Ch.1HSW560001>) 27.50 1 from GSF. I thankyou.

Pretty stupid yeah but funny none the less!
-
Soooo... Could someone just let me know if the MK4 discs I listed above are correct or should I be sticking with standard Corrado rear discs?
-
That would be a Figaro then! My mrs still plans on getting one at the end of the year when prices are cheaper. Funny how you start spotting them around when you take an interest. At the moment she drives a Ford Ka though and I have to say it's cost her about 60p to keep it on the road in the last 3 years. Highly reccomended.

PMSL! I love your comment in the other thread as well Tom!

These look about right for rears... ?? 60345 BRAKE DISC-REAR SOLID BR G4 Ex. Syncro 97> 15.00

Unfortunately, we have to wear pink shirts... I should be getting my own Cocktail section on the site soon!! -
Yup they were the ones I was thinking about, I think i'll go for them too. Good results? What about the rear discs, are standard Corrado discs fine with MK4 calipers? Might get some vented ones to match.
-
Come on someone, need to get them ordered!!! :)
