Thanks DaveStorm, really appreciate it! Am still after 288's and had seen them, really can't afford them this month though, need to pay off the OBD2 still! VRTrickster, Yeh they aren't that cheap. 6 sheets was more than enough to do the 2 front doors, I have 1 left over. I reckon another 10+ to do the other popular areas of the car - rear door cards, under rear seats, boot etc. But the more you buy from Audioscape the better the discount.
-
I don't know what they are like behind. Would be fiddly and you'd be doing well to cover all the gaps... Stuff I used is about 5mm thick, dunno how thick dynamat is. This stuff is nice and easy to use, very maluable.
-
Cheaper than replacing with VAG stuff! - £60
-
Liking it Jim, i'd go for one.
-
Good point. I'll just have to pull up/chop out the bottom 3 pieces as it's about the only reasonable access to the inside of the door anyway. Until that day at least I have the whole door done!
-
Yeh I noticed that. Might be on its way up, the silver one at the front looks higher.

Before and after pictures of the passenger door...

Great show, the convertable espace stuff was great. And the Stig crashing the Koenigegiegeg! I do partly agree with the scripting stuff, it is overly theatrical at times but still damn funny.

YEh it is for sound purposes, wasn't going to buy it but I was talked round... You don't need the membrane if you use the skinz because you cover up all the holes. I trimmed the membrane bit that goes behind the speaker (need that hole) and refitted it. Pictures coming soon... Oh and it was actually 6 sheets I got.
-
Going to go out in a bit and do the other door (only done drivers one so far), i'll take a pic once i've done it. I got 5 sheets of skinz from Audioscape for £40. Easily enough to do 2 doors.
-
Yeh should do. Plus it looks shiny :D

Did you just change that from Royal Blue?! Not mind your mind up yet then?! dazzyvr6, good results then. I got up to 41MPG the other day and it was only a 20mile trip. Whether it's acurate or not still remains to be seen...
-
No idea what it's called, £6 for a litre. It came in a white tin with 'Cleaner, thinnner' scrawled on the side like it had been distilled out the back of Audioscape! It's visible in the first picture on the previous page. 39MPG that's good! Is that a one off peak trip or an average??

You forgot about the ability to walk on water! ;)
-
Nick, here's a deal for ya... I'll pay for a new alarm to be fitted and you give me your speedlines! ;)
-
No i'll keep the carpets and trim black. Retrim the doorcards and obviously the seats. Probsably be towards the end of the summer when I get round to doing it/save up.
-
Finally decided on tan with black piping. I think it'll go with the green really well & the piping breaks up the colour a bit.

Thanks mate! I would definately prefer to keep the bling under the bonnet, stealth style! My leather (when I get it will be bling though!).

I've been busy this morning.... My new hoodliner and door 'skinz' arrived from Audioscape yesterday. Have fitted the driver door skin and the hoodliner. Pretty pleased with both outcomes. The skinz stuff is excellent quality and reall sticky, hope I never have to take it off! Doing the hoodliner was ok, I achieved pretty good results from cutting it with some large scissors. The hard bit was getting the glue off. James provided me with some evil cleaner/thinner stuff that did a good job of thinning the glue so I could use a plastic scraper. Under the bonnet looks so much better now, the old foam was falling off and complete crap, now it's nice and shiny! In the process of testing my MPG still. Only done 150 miles since I filled up but should do some more in the nexct couple of days so we can see how much unleaded goes back in again. The needle is displaying just below 3/4 of a tank... Piccies...

I think I probably speak for everyone when I say 'Corrado'. This is after all a Corrado forum, and all opinions are biased! :)

LOL

If you're dead set on doing an engine swap, go for a 24v without a doubt. Would surely be cheaper and easier to buy a VR and sell your current C though.
-
Yeh it is nice. So how come it's so rare? Was it a limited edition colour or was it just no one bought it?!
-
I didn't say it came as standard, I said it came on standard late VR's i.e. not just Storms.
