    OBD2 VR6

Immobiliser transponer & key. If you want to be more specific, the sensors you need are MAF & Lambda probe. You only need the top of the inlet manifold. Oh and make sure the loom is conplete ;)
  4. :( If someone did that to my car i'd be really upset. Bad luck Tom, people like that should be shot, how do they sleep at night?
  5. I always look at usernames on ebay and think 'which one of you buggers is that then...!' :x :) timg60, i've got a VR6 one if it's any use ;)
  6. Someone posted that one up the other day, the turbo is about the size of a TV!
  7. There is a Colour code list in the Knowlege Base. Check the sticker in the boot for your paint code. HTH
  8. Bottom ones look great, not keen on the top ones...
  9. I paid £40 for the 2 door ones.... don't think I was ripped off...
  10. Looking swish mate :thumbleft: Splitter looks good and paintwork is shiny! Superglued the crack in my splitter today and it looks a lot better, I could do with rubbing down a bit of the rust underneath as well!

    Roof Trim

My gutter is now exposed... Looks OK though, you notice it a lot less than cracked brittle rubber!

    Roof Trim

I trimmed the cracked rubber stuff off the roof trim earlier. Stanley knife did the trick. Looks a lot tidier on top now but a bit weird. I'll probably get used to it.

    Free Parts

    Free Parts

If it has a 288mm brake setup i'll have it if you don't want it! (and i'll pay)
  15. Looking good, scuttle cover tidies it up sooo much, I want one!
  16. Yeh you could stick your existing OBD1 on the 2.8 engine but.. 1/ It'll still be quite a bit of work converting the 2.8 block to OBD1 2/ The Schrick manifold will be OBD2 which means some kind of adapter for an OBD1 TB and i'm not sure on how you'd do the ISV (OBD2 doesn't have them). 3/ You'll be forfeiting some power by not going OBD2, remember OBD1 2.8's are around 176bhp standard. You wont be getting the best out of your engine and believe me OBD2 kicks arse generally! Granted, you'll have a charger as well so that's not too much of an issue! If I was putting a new engine in (and i've said this before) it would have the same number of valves as my favourite TV show! If you're not doing that, the rebuild/gearbox/peloquin sounds like the way to go IMO. :)
  17. Does look good mate, shame he's not doing anymore.... I might get mine off and have a go at it myself. How did he fix the cracks in the corners then?
  18. Good move i'd say Luke. Swallow your pride for the sake of future 'situations'. These people need medical help!
  19. Fraid not. The TB, MAF etc. etc. would all be OBD2. I reckon you'd be talking quite a lot of labour dude, it is a new engine with different diagnostics, get some quotes for it. Just trying to help, you don't want to be hit with a huge unexpected labour bill... :)
  20. The loom and immobiliser are the tough bits mate. There are various issues to to with the golf loom being too long in some places (and too short in others). I would imagine it will be a considerably larger job than my OBD2 conversion (12+ hours) - hell, it's a whole engine & charger!
  21. I'd budget for a fairly major job though mate TBH. It's not like sticking another OBD1 in there...
  22. Yup F reg's were the first, F2** BVV or summet like that... All in tornado red/pink I believe? G is still very early though, i've never seen a G before....
  23. bristolbaron, good point indeed. All very well carrying a weapon but actually intending to hit someone with it or even threatening them could make the situation even worse.
