The ones in the second set are ok. Like the silver one particularly. The top set are all horrible... the red wine and cream one being the worst.

I reckon the value of standard VR6's is going to shoot up soon as less and less of them become supercharged! :)
-
£500 should be plenty mate. At least you've got an open mind, i've managed to narrow myself down to one particular set of wheels that seem to be the only ones of that type in the world... (Yes NickVR6, I am talking about the Speedlines) :)

Niiiice :thumbleft:

LOL And I thought I was already harrasing you! Time to move on to stage 3 in that case... GIVE ME THE WHEELS!!!

Looking good d6s. I like the borbets. :) -
Does anyone know if it's repeated on TV this week, rather than downloading it which I can't be arsed to do...?
-
They look rubbish. Sell them ASAP. ...Ooooonly joking! (well about the rubbish bit anyway!) They look great as expected as does the rest of the car. Interesting that you think the ride is better then with 15inch speedlines. Some nice pictures Nick. :)

Sheet...hope he's ok.

Getting a displayed 35.8MPG over the lat 300 miles on my OBD2 VR. I've worked out about 11% needs to be knocked off that though so about 32.1MPG would be accurate. Pretty damn good for a VR. Check out my Members Galley for all the info.

Banana custard...?? Nah you're right :pukeright:
-
Where is he/you based by the way?
-
The highest mine has read is 41.1 but I know I can get higher, especially if I reset it whilst on the move (which is cheating). Mine over reads but about 10 percent and I reckon that's pretty constant accross all VR's (and others maybe).

I'm interested.

Not as far as I know. Best bet is to find someone breaking a highline and nab all the bits off that. I didn't have to much trouble getting the bits, only snag was that the loom was no use. chrishill, i'll give that a go but it doesn't look like it'll straighten out properly, like anything that has been rolled up a while.

That sounds pretty good Peakz, is it a 2.8 VR6?
-
Definately a Nugget C only saw it from a distance after it had passed behind me and the guy driving it even looked like you! (a little bit wuurrr and a little bit waaay)

Walesy, cheers bud, I understand the hoodliner thing - not everyones bag. Pretty sure you drove past me today at 7.45pm in Watergate Bay by the way. If it wasn't you then it was another yellow C! ardandy, total cost in labour was £500+VAT parts were £250 but i'm recouping that from selling the parts that came off, so only playing for labour really. I still reckon i'm getting 20% more miles to a gallon of fuel. 1 mile costs about 15p as opposed to about 19p (roughly) so that's a saving of 4p per mile. 4p into £580 is 14.5k miles to pay for itself. Bargain IMO. Not to mention all the other benefits of OBD2. andy, agreed mate. I'll just knock about 10% off my readings now which means the other day when I got a displayed 41MPG I was infact up to almost 37MPG. :D
-
The doors make a nice thud noise when closing now rather than the standard Corrado 'clang'! Agree with the hoodliner, the wrinkles are a bit of a shame, I tried to flatten them out but it wasn't having any of it. :) andy, I see your point but this test lasted almost 2 weeks and 10+ different trips along Cornish B roads. Have you verified your MPG readings with the petrol tank?
-
I knew it!!
-
Ouch, 230 miles to a tank! :( Needle was still wiggling just over 1/2 tank after my 200miles! :)

Now completed my 200 (199.2 to be exact) miles MPG test. Reset the number 2 computer on the MFA when I filled up the first time and over the course of the 200 miles it has displayed an average 35.0MPG, well above a normal VR6 I think you'll agree. I have peaked it at 40MPG but because i've done quite a few short trips recently and a fair bit of overtaking (;))the average has dropped. When filling up the car took 29litres of fuel which = 6.37gallons. Meaning that in real terms I got 31.4MPG over the 200miles. So my MFA is overcalculating the MPG by 11.5 percent over his short distance). So in conclusion, i'm still getting a damn good MPG for a VR6 IMO, over 400 miles for a full tank of fuel, but not as good as the MFA is displaying. I'm perfectly happy with over 30MPG on average and it must be down to the OBD2 management, I would be interested to know if any standard OBD1 VR owners have done similar tests on there cars to check the accuracy of their MFA's. Would be nice to know if the MFA numbers are out slightly on all VR's or whether it is something to do with the OBD2. :D

This is cool!

Sean Ryder from the Hapy Mondays had a couple IIRC?
