  1. Doubt you want to remove those bits, you would still have fleibility. What length is your middle section? My middle section (but including the plates that are welded to the pipe) is 924mm
  2. 7-800 Which bit is sitting lower? Probably advisable to do all 3 mounts, recommended for a standard car is a uprated front mount, standard rear mount and a Mk3 Golf Diesel gearbox mount.
  3. NickVR6 had trouble with his I believe, their tolorance and his car just happened to be total opposites. I've got a bar I want to fit, but my sub and amp get in the way :-(
  4. My spoiler is a right biyatch, as is my cat heat guard thing. I scrape both just going over the concrete joints in my car park.
  5. Was that with uprated mounts on Kev?
  6. Not sure, but I think he only does VR6's anyway.
  7. There's a fella that does ported TBs on an exchange basis, I'll vouch for his work. Mail him on [email:540c7][email protected][/email:540c7] IIRC they were about £125 I guess it may be a bit more expensive from the US tho...
  8. Have you looked yourself? Guess you could see how much is going into the hub by poking the bolt thru the hole when the wheel is not on the car to see how much thread you've got.
  9. I doubt it, isn't it illegal to drive in bare feet?
  10. fill it to max, and run the engine with the cap off, then top up as needed to the max line.
  11. Open the expansion tank, and run the car for a few mins, see if the airlock works its way out. Top up. If you're heater ain't working, it seems probable that there is an airlock. You're supposed to fill from the top radiator hose I think.
  12. It's where you get air trapped in the system. Where did you fill the system from? Was the heater working before?
  13. Could you have an airlock? How much water/coolant mix did you put in?
  14. There was a post on here about that engine, supercharged and turbocharged 1.4FSi. IIRC it seemed to put out decent power.
  15. IIRC someone had to shave a bit off their calipers to fit under their BBS 16's, but not sure which type they were.
  16. I bought mine with A290MAN on it... someone before me wanted it to read "A 2.9 O MAN" Bit chavvy I think, but I can't be bothered changing it.

    Lost Keys

Got a call back and they can do it! At only 5.60 a key as well (think I'll get 2 ;-) ) Gotta get a spare for the missus as well now, but that's a immobiliser one from a 97 polo, which will be considerably more. And we can't get a second opinion over here :( Only 1 dealer on the Isle of Man

Just called, and they said there may not be a key code, and may have to replace all locks :-(

    Lost Keys

Well I've lost my frickin keys :x This is my spare set after having lost my full set in a house move a few months ago. They were in my luggage while I travelled, and weren't in my bag when I got home. I have NO IDEA how they have gone missing. How can I get a new set made up? The drivers side has a different key too. :x :x :x
  20. I'll check when I get home, I had to go buy one specially, thought it was a 30mm
  21. Sounds like the Carbon Canister,
  22. Just do it up effing tight! Incidentally, my Bentley has the figure wrong (says 90 + 1/2 turn) which the person who fitted it used. When I took the wheel off, there was significant movement in the hub, which must have been the same in the wheel. I was doing 145 with a wobbly wheel
