I got 2 cheap 5mm spacers on my rear wheels, I could hear rubbing before I fit them. I have left the fronts alone. Actually I think HR say "you may need 5mm spacers with standard whees" rather than saying you do, so if you aren't rubbing, you may be OK.
-
HR recommend the use of 5mm spacers.

Trimsport cannot do a rear strut brace group buy!

Mine was posted yesterday, hopefully I won't have a bent car like nick :) -
I got my Neuspeed from Awesome GTI I think.
-
I had 8s with 215s on, and there was slight rubbing. EDIT: I was on standard suspension back then too.
-
Quite expensive. IIRC couple a hundred odd. Fit's on the bottom of your rear struts, and to rear axle beam Fitting guide is on the Neuspeed website PDF File

Can you not tighten the hub nut to press it back in?
-
Hopefully this will be fitted saturday morning then. Going up to my dad's at 9AM Any idea on how long it'll take, think I'll be flying solo doing it.
-
No. The inlet mani is different, as is the TB.
-
Did last night ;) Still fairly quiet, but when Tom and I were enjoying a pint last night down at the Beer Tent, you could see them pouring in off the boats. Should be a good weekend!
-
Is it easier to fit the rose joints or the brackets first? I've got so much to do this weekend, not sure when I'll find the time. Fit this Fit new Momo wheel Go to work :( Watch footy Tidy Flat (the missus is away, so it's a right tip) Change the wishbone bushes on my missus' polo Go out drinking (well, the TT races are on) Watch some Motorbikes
-
Cool, guess I'll be doing it on my back though, no access to a lift.
-
Yeah, cheers mate, you are a star! Works perfect. Went out for a good drive sunday!
-
Bolts are OK, I've got my beautiful assistant ;) They were out a couple of weeks ago, so should be fine! It was my beautiful assistant that tried to convince me it would be tough, the instructions looked easy enough.

How much of a pig of a job is this to do? Just got my Neuspeed rear ARB, so was hoping to fit it this weekend.
-
Well I got suggested to try 60cm, and kinda guessed where to measure it. I think it's a fairly mute point for me anyway, as they'll prob need adjusting after they've settled.
-
60 cm would be a bit far from the middle of the wheel IMO :) Proper 4x4 height
-
Mine were measured from the floor
-
To the top bit of the arch? I didn't have time to adjust mine before I put it in for camber adjustment, so I got the garage to level it.
-
Aye, I think I'll be changing next year!
-
Then I said I've bought an ARB, which I said goes under the car, "no it doesn't" they say "it goes in the car in case you roll over" Not sure where that ended up, think them might think it's a strut brace.
-
Made no difference to the insurance price anyway. Fukwits
-
I did guess 60, but by then I'd said I didn't know!

I didn't measure what my drop was, but it's now sitting at 59cm front 60cm rear. My insurance need to know the drop.
