I've got a G-werks cnc head on my G60, had it nearly a year now. 1. Not noticed much of a raise in fuel consumption. 2. No difference in engine noise. 3. every bit as smooth as the original and no difference in driving characteristics until you you drop the pedal to the right, that is followed by a big smile and rapid acceleration. It beats vxr's.type r's.octavia vrs's.clio'182's. and all manner of other quick cars, which i'm very happy about !! I love it and think it's been worth the extra money. Thats my view on the G60 CNC :salute:

Keeping low on fuel for better performance ?
shawshankkid replied to shawshankkid's topic in General Car Chat
Thanks for the replies guys...i was curious about the subject as me and a mate had a good chinwag about it the other night. -
As the title says, does keeping low on fuel significantly improve performance ? keeping below a quarter of a tank seems to have a edge on performance i feel in my G60. What are all your thoughts on the matter ?

Mine had the same problem when i first bought it. The clip you need is part number N 908 159 03

They should sell you as little as you need...they have rolls of it in the parts department.....there just being awkward :nono: . make sure the vacuum pipe from throttle body to fuel pressure regulator is exactly 100mm long...Just as important as the 1 metre ecu pipe...also use the 2 correct clips for tb to fpr pipe (N 024 399 2)
-
18 mpg is a classic sign of a kippered lambda.....also make sure the vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator to throttle body is exactly 100mm, thats makes a difference to mfa readings.

Same here about 5 mins max.
-
I would second that.

Name and shame Laura !. 6 points ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and by the way Luke McCormick was insured but when your over the limit it voids your insurance. And what a nob sack.

Yes B&Q evostick glue remover will shift it in good time, did mine in about 20 mins...put on with a brush and remove with a old cloth straight away, don't leave to soak in as you will be wasting time and product.

Hi all, Anybody had any dealings with total wheel works in Colwick-Nottingham ? They are supposed to be very highly rated at doing wheels looking at other forums, i rang them last week about doing my original BBS wheels...they said £50 a wheel and thats tyre off/ shot blasted/powder coated/kerbing sorted/tyre back on/balanced, all in 24 hours...that sounds very resonable to me. Cheers Chris.
