Good job! You fancy doing mine..?  Was it generally a straight forward install, or a right pain in the ass? Did you have to fabricate anything to make stuff fit?

Neeza - Volkswagen concept designed in China
joebloggsVR69 replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
That is one ugly car.. I was actually looking at the VW uk site the other day, and stumbled on this page: http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new_cars/concept I'm quite taken by their Eco Racer 8) Weighs 850kilograms and does 0-60 in 6.3 secs. Oh, and it's a diesel  :D -
Or just dont take you Corrado to car parks  ..that's why I've got a mk2 Golf

Roughly how many miles should i get to half a tank in my VR?
joebloggsVR69 replied to -Neil-'s topic in General Car Chat
I only get around 230 miles to a tank.. But thats because I drive it around traffic laden london roads. I'm averaging about 20-22 mpg I consider it an achievement to break 25mpg! However when I drive it on motorways I can easily get over 30mpg When I first bought the car, I managed about 38mpg on the journey home  -

Wow, great work, as usual! 8) Just out of interest, can a clay bar be used more than once? And how do you get rid of the crap that it collects? -
Beautiful 8)

Used it on my MK2 GTI once, cant say I noticed any improvement with how the car ran.. :? It's quite pricey too - Luckily I had a Hellfrauds voucher which meant I got it for nothing :)

Yeah, persevere! It's actually not held in that tightly (well.. mine wasnt anyway) You'll need a really thin screwdriver, like those precision sets you see in homebase etc It's a bastard of a job! :)

Here's a handy tip that was given to me recently for identifying speaker wires and their polarity: Get a battery (AA size will do) and connect one end to one of the wires and the other end of the battery to each of the other wires until you see or hear the speaker move (Take off the speaker grilles) If the speaker moves up the polarity is correct (ie the wire at the + of the battery is the speaker +) If the speaker goes down then you know the polarity is the other way round! Black wire *should* be the earth, and that big red wire *should* be the live feed (from the ignition) But please dont blame me if I'm wrong and you give yourself a shock  Best to disconnect the car's battery while you're identifying the speaker wires. Good luck :)

Well, well... Who'd have thought the A-Team van was such a slow piece of sh!t? I'm surprised Cl. Decker didnt catch them more often :)

Noticed in the paper today that 5th Gear is doing a feature with the A-Team van vs. a VW Transporter http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp ... for%20hire Sounds like fun, no idea what the A-Team can has under the hood though.. V8? :D Starts at 8pm

Nah, we took the plane back - £20 flights are more appealing than extra money on petrol/accomodation and more time off work Shame, our GTI was bloody amazing - needed nothing apart from a little bit of oil every morning. Not bad for a 20yr old car, considering we were doing 90mph for about 9 hours a day! Was doing about 350miles between tank refills, but back here in London it struggled to do better than 14mpg!!! G60-R - no idea what road it was, we just followed the road numbers! :D

Some pics to show you guys what you missed out on ;) http://www.apan.biz/jeppe/bilder/scally/index.html For those of you that dont know what this is all about - it's like the Gumball, but with 100 tams driving cars costing less than £100 through France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy and Spain. 1800 miles in 4 days and it finished last week Was great fun, bring on 2007 :)

Welcome, nice Golf mate 8)

Yeah, was great fun :) Your Audi looked great on that night driving down the mountain roads to Menton Loved the way you guys were keeping up with that ambulance - 4wd must've been handy  We were gonna scrap our GTI, but we met a couple of girls in Barcelona who wanted it. They came up to Madrid on the Weds to pick it up 8) Took loads of nice pics, will post them when I can

It's very easy to replace the cable - I did mine a couple of months ago. Took a bit of force to get the old one out of the bulkhead. The rubber seal on mine was very tight. I also skinned a knuckle doing mine  Gloves might be an idea
