  1. 300 miles on a tank? I wish I got those figures  I get about 240 (but that's driving around town..) :D
  2. I had to buy one from GSF a couple of months back, csot me about £90.... The guy told me battery prices have shot up because of the worldwide demand for lead, or something.... :? I thought the demand was for steel
  3. Beautiful 8) Was looking for one like that myself, but they're very rare in that colour :D
  4. That part number has changed to 535 199 315 C It's a subframe for the Corrado, 1989-1995, Golf 1990-1992, Jetta 1990-1992
  5. That sucks mate, but you can get that dent removed for about £50 from a specialist (as long as the paint hasnt cracked)
  6. You sure there's no metal circlip where the bottom of the gearknob meets the top of the rod?
  7. There's also a clip which is at the the top of the gear shift rod which needs to be removed, otherwise no amount of screwing will get the knob off (..ooer) It's a bit of a ba$tard to put back , IIRC
  8. That front kinda reminds me of a Dodge Charger - maybe they should have tried lights that swivelled in the grille
  9. Does it bleep 3 times in succession? That means that the alarm thinks one of the doors/bonnet/boot is still open. Usual suspect is the bonnet sensor (a little spring thing that's supposed to go down when you close the bonnet). Over time, the bonnet sensor can kinda dent the underside of the bonnet skin, meaning that when you shut the bonnet, the sensor isnt fully down. You can adjust it to sit a bit higher by twisting the sensor a few times. It should just be screwed in :)
  10. Try scanning at a slightly higher DPI and save it at higher quality (jpg's usually have several quality levels, so try saving at the highest setting)
  11. I'm lucky enough to have 2 corrado's and a mk2 Golf :D The VR6 is just for weekends.
  12. Well, he does have a point though...
  13. Hahaha, that's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the pics  It must've been made by Mr. Leepu himself
  14. Nice car :D Those wheels are pretty rare, 'Brands Hatch' optional extra. I like 'em :)
  15. hello mate yer i remember ! how you doing ? thanks, yours looked good that day, got my vote on the show & shine ! :D hows your rado going ? done anything to it since ! ..and yours got my vote  We were robbed, I tells ya! haha Not done anything to my rado, still toying with the idea of getting it charged. I bought myself a *very* cheap G60 rado as a run around recently - It's a bit slow compared to the VR6
  16. Ah, lovely car mate 8) I remember talking to you at Inters :D
  17. Beautiful :) There's nothing quite like a fresh paint job.. Just be careful not to take it to car parks now
  18. Friend of mine did that in a ratty passat, did you bump into him? Hmm, must have missed him I saw a couple of Scirocco's a Jetta, Vento, mk2 Golf, etc but no Passat! I'll have another look through my photos
  19. Yeah, france is pretty dull, apart from the south coast. I went down to Menton/Monaco on last year's Scally Rally (another route they feaured on Top Gear :D) We drove back to Calais from Italy in a day this year 'cos it's so crap in france  Took about 14 hours solid
  20. I went through the Stelvio Pass this year on the Scally Rally, was very cool 8) We did Calais > Basel > Cortina (through Stelvio) > Venice > Rimini > Tuscany > Modena > Home Here's a few pics :D The car was a 1989 Honda P00lude, with 4 wheel steering! The back wheels actually turn, and the handling was amazing, especially on those mountain haripin bends  We went for a KITT look, incase you're wondering  And yes, we had a scanlight on the front
