1. I ordered mine about 4 months ago. Only 1 turned up was told they were obsolete but managed source one from Germany.
2. Not much left of that radiator Dave! Have you ordered new plastic fan guides? Mine were really brittle and literally fell apart on removal! It will look smart once all put together when powder coated too. It's worth it! How much did you pay for the sensors? I've already got the fan switch, but wanted replace the ones on the thermostat housing! :)
3. Michael5556 has also paid Kev. Also updated a page or 2 back with who's dropped out from vr6oc..
4. This is what credit cards are for :) Group Buys happen less and less these days, so wanting to take advantage.

3.68 Final drive

Just stick with the 3.68, you won't be disappointed :-)
6. Good stuff. Do we need open this out to more forums get the numbers up? We will be lucky hit 10 people otherwise as everyone who originally expressed interest have either gone quiet or have dropped out...
7. Today I drank beer, had a BBQ and fitted the PAS bottle bracket, front engine hoist eye and the bracket that clips the injector loom just in front of the cool pack following sand blasting etc..
8. I've fount a bag of big bolts but the bag with the part number has rubbed off! Can anyone tell me if these are sub frame bolts? Also found another bag with 4 big nuts in that appear to have a flange that rotates?

3.68 Final drive

you will see a small reduction in top end speed, but the benefits far outweigh that, I've had this on my last 2 VR's and currently having it done to my Corrado.... really it isnt a relevant question, you wouldnt want to be doing more than 100MPH anywhere in the UK without wanting to risk loosing your licence :)
10. cost me 50 quid for sub-frame be blasted and powder coated, ive had alot of other stuff done at the same place, so at least i know what im getting. just cant wait get it all fitted so i can get the bloody thing through the MOT! fair play spending 6 hours on it! id have given up after 6 minutes :D
11. Look what I just picked up :) can't wait get this and my wishbones fitted! Also had the last of my brackets powdercoated! :)

3.68 Final drive

I asked vince last month if he had any crown wheels, but couldnt put his hands on any... I was lucky, I found a G60 gearbox for £50 and got hold of a spare VR6 gearbox for £60. Got my ARP bolts for £58 and all new bearings / seals from a place Vince recommended for under £60. its currently down at Stealth getting built up!
13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mk2-golf-switch-blank-HAVE-NEVER-SEEN-ONE-THESE-RARE-1-8t-vr6-16v-g60-/190674505084?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c65160d7c#ht_500wt_1413 really?
14. I think you should go with the latter option. Everything aligned up lovely on my hella. Had everything powdercoated while I was at it and all new stainless nuts and fan guides. Worked out well. Very happy and cheap too.
15. My items also turned up very quickly also :) although like most things... thing do crop up and take your attention... i sometimes go weeks without logging on due to personal reasons and work!
16. im more of a bloodstock man my self! but the download lineup does look awesome this year :D
17. Im honestly not looking forward to replacing my sub-frame.... so will be interested in hearing your best practice doing it with the engine in :) everything sounds good in theory! my sub-frame will be ready to collect tomorrow, just need get some new wishbones sorted and get the bolts, bushes ordered etc... hoping nothing snapps off on removal!
18. The hella one dave or from VW dealer?
19. I'll be supporting my engine using a hoist to take the weight of the axcel stands when im replacing my sub-frame :)
20. Sorry to jack your thread! but how the heck to you get them off ? (Without breaking in the process!) I have Dave's tunnel kit to fit :)
21. Had it running a fair, driven it to and from the MOT station, water temps have been fine, seems a good fit, no issues at all. I do have oil temps of 104 after a little tickle which I thought was a little high, however as water temps are about 96degrees, i'm going to get a new oil cooler on as i cannot account it being 'good'. I did speak to Vince, and he said that 104 was normal for a corrado, in the past my golf VR6 ran cooler than the C... I know when i initially was told about that rad some people had been running it for a good year or so without any problems, you can probably search my past posts relating to radiators :) Pete
