Brilliant find. I think will be very helpful. Madly I was pointing some Canadians in the direction of this Forum earlier this week. !

Surely it is a little boredom too and an urge to own masses of other cars. Cheaper all round to hire them for the odd weekend. How we feeling today Jim ? Little happier with all the love you have been given ?? !!! Still think you should come out for a blast at the weekend !!!! I could drive the Fiat and you your Corrado - probabaly about similar pace then ............................... !!!

Jim, Every time mine as much as squeaks, she's being sold as I am out of love. A trip over to Stealth, moan at the Guys, rant on about the car, little tweak here or there and the love is back. OK, she's not cheap - but what car is? You have been around the scene long enough to watch over and over - how many times folk sell their C's and then are re-buying another after a few short months. Your's may be bugging you due to its storage location and sounding odd as you are not driving it daily. Possibly consider why you are not using it as your daily - it takes a lot of mileage and repair costs to make it as expensive as driving and owning two cars. Why are you exactly keeping it as a second car ? Its just the winter, grey skies and not meeting up with other Corrado friends. We all suffer in winter and the Corrado is just something to blame this week . More Sunshine needed - or Vitamin D. Come over to mine - we will go for a blast, that will bring the smile back to your face. Besides - you think if you sell the Corrado anyone is going to let you join in our Convoys, Shows, Events or infact even talk to you at all ? Of course you will still be allowed to my house to fix my PC but then dinner is provided !!!!! I would even let you polish my Corrado !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would just say no rush/rash decisions. ---------- Post added at 9:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:39 PM ---------- ChrisL - you beat me to it - re the blast !! Jim - you going to Elsecar ?

Honouring the first offer would have been good though, or offering the chance to match the price. Would be interesting to see the result if this had happened to Fishwick or Billcor when either of them were first in offering to purchase something at the sellers offer price. £15,000 on a house purchase maybe - it is a known war mongering game there, but £15 on a suppossed friendly Corrado forum to a relative newbie. Some weeks back there were various Forum folk running around for someone who's Grandad was having a nightmare time with their Corrado - all for nothing. What a difference a few weeks can make.

Glad you liked it Graeme and Yes in the Corrado World !!!

I used to work in newspapers and could never believe how many times this sort of thing happened. It's just a typo not picked up in editing - and shows everyone is human !!!!!

The Sprinter arrived today, brilliant timing as I am home off sick. What a fabulour read - even if I say so myself. I read it twice. Thanks to the Jim and Chris who thought of the idea to do this. A fantastic job of it they made too. I even enjoyed Chris's editing ( re the blond bits - in brackets and other comments ! !) Hopefully everyone else will enjoy this Sprinter as much and be encouraged to join in trips either organised by others or organise some themselves. And - thanks to everyone who came on the trip and joined in part through - you are the ones who made it. And Martin for those who don't know is Easypops (and his wife - Lyndsay)

Hate the lack of cupholder in the Rado? I had an idea..
Wendy replied to bristolbaron's topic in Interior
It Really has to be finished in black leather to match the rest of my trim though - Please. Tell me, is drinking in the car - is that generally done loads of trips by the majority of folk ? It really does not cross my mind to drink in the car, unless going on a very long trip, but even then I am more inclined to stop and take a break too. But - as I am no longer smoking and never used the ashtrays anyway, makes more sense to utilise these for cup holders. Excellent idea. -
I saw that too, was very impressive, cool addition to CV. Then there are those who play the F1 Playstationes etc who get picked for driving in F1 too.

Sorry to hear of your difficult times, it does ease them to share them - as hopefully you have and are finding. I kept the house when my marriage split up - knowing I needed to keep some familarity of surroundings for comfort and let my hubby have the Golf 16V GTI which was mega hard. Ours was amicable - he would bring the car round periodically for me to take for a drive ! As hard as it is - please tell the children sooner than later and watch out for any changes in them. I would let school know too, it means an eye can be kept on them. Please do consider Counselling for them and you - it can be helpful. Then................ totally through yourself into something - whether the Corrado's upkeep, even just washing and polishing will assist getting rid of pent up frustrations and keep you focused through hard times. Fortunately Spring/Summer is on its way - there are quite a few Corrado meets - join in them we are a friendly bunch, the more you go to the moe likely you are to make some good friends especially the weekend ones. Take care of yourself. M & S do nice meals for when cooking is too much to consider. Wendy

Guys - 15p off a litre of fuel with a £60 spend at Morrisons until Sunday 4th March. Now this one is worth while (£8 plus saved I reckon)
-
I was stunned at one of my clients the other day - couple of the guys were trying to source a XR2 as a classic and definite money earner for the future !!! Now I owned one of these and although it was what i needed at the time for a number of reasons and it was overal a good car, cheap to run, fun to drive- I really could not imagine wanting to buy one now - I did suggest getting a proper car that was going to be a classic for good reason, not just because there are so few out there in good condition. Although Ford do have some cars worthy of Classics, in my opinion this is not one of them

Just don't take it to Fiat for a Service - bit expensive - heh Jim ?? !!
-
You would also look really old for your age !!!!

Dilemma on how best to sell my Corrado, suggestions please?
Wendy replied to Dredgey's topic in General Car Chat
I agree with davidwort, no way would I sell if for that - especially without more knowledge. What year is it ? How many owners has it had - all relevant to the price too. Has it had the chains done ? If so - was with with new clutch too? I too would put it through an MOT and see what it fails on -
Yuk - that is grim ! Looks painful too............. Yes - good on the one hand Jude is home to help, hope the job front gets sorted for her soon though.
-
How you feeling today Kip ? Have you got Jude running around after you ?
-
So what you going to add tomorrow?? !!! AS if you need more sympathy !!!! Sorry to hear - that it is getting worse not better - I gather broken ribs are serioulsy painful too. Did Jude send that dog out deliberatley - to ensure she won all the show and shine events this year ?? !! If you want me to give any of your Corrado's a little run while you are out of action - just shout. How does it go - Drive it like you stole it !!! Keep smiling Kip, got to look on the good side of it all - they can re-build you and think of the sympathy you can get out of this one. ;-)
-
Silly sod - that will teach you for getting into all the excercise lark, getting up early on a Sunday, thinking you're a man, all tough and all that !!! he he Oh sorry you wanted sympathy, is the bike OK ? !! Sorry sorry, honestly Kip hope you heal quickly - and take lots of drugs - I say - to ease the pain of course !! Am I presuming this means you are house bound now and can't get out in the car either ? If so - very grim. You take care, I will try not to take the P.......... any more.

Little bit of reaction only to new tyres and driving rather than observing they were on rears only. They are still not going to have the same grip as when they have been worn in though. Tyres specialists would advise more accurately the reasoning though.
