ooh.. had any arch work done? my 205/40x17's caught on all 4 arches. My rear tyres got cut to shreds. I personally would have said that they would catch.

The reflectors in my headlights are peeling and going yellow so I bought complete vag units... The front end should look pretty nice once I get a new bumper painted and my debadged grill cc'd. not sure which foglights I want to use yet though. Had these for a few months now since I first saw rs vr6 (the socal dude) corrado. Yellow seem to be the 'in thing' now though so not sure if I wanna jump on the bandwagon. Both sets are vag.

VAG headlights aint cheap so they will definately be going on!! Quite sad, but I took the protectors off the car for my trip to Newquay as I didnt want them getting smashed!!! My headlamps on the car at th eminute are so bad I couldnt really care if they got smashed!

I know people will have more stuff... I have soo much vw gear in my loft and garage, but this is just new stuff waiting to be fitted to the rado... I could outweigh this 3x with my polo parts.. Just need a front bumper so that the car can go to the bodyshop most of this gear can be fitted and not take up room in my shed!

Mine is saounding tapperty lately. The noise isnt constant, it sort of cycles every second or so..... Definately aint the pump as I put a new vag pump in only 6 months ago. But yes, sump off, and the pump is right there! Easy peasy.

look out for really tall skinny gatsos. Have seen them with both grey and yellow posts, but all have had yellow cameras. Very odd looking. Springing up left right and centre around west london.

I know this isnt a thread about Autoglym, but I've really gone off all of their stuff. I used to use it all the time, but started to find that hlafords own brand stuff was better... As for bumper gel, I used to use Turtle wax tyre gel. My Polo bumpers looked fantastic with it on... and the amount of times that I got asked what I used on them at shows means that it wasnt only me that thought it too!! :) Saying that, I now use maguiars. Not much difference in price to Autoglym but the products are a lot easier to use and the results are 10x better than AG... I have used the AG tar and glue remover on both tar and glue and was very unimpressed. I think I binned it.

Dont use boiling water. If you use a heat gun dont concentrate on small areas as you'll burn the paint. Dont use T-cut as it will rub through the paint on the edge og the bodywork (I did this on my mk2 golf :S) A hair dryer and some really hot soapy water should be ok. Autoglym tar and glue remover is pants. Never had any sort of good results with it... come to think of it never really had ANY sort of results... I've taken the strips off a mk3 polo and just used my thumbnail to scrape any major big chunks of sticky foam off.. Not overly keen on using wd40 but it does the trick.. As said above, any technique/product is going to require some good old elbow grease! Good luck, but dont end up having to have it resprayed...

I've done all the cameras between the A3 and M3 at over 110mph. I've never been flashed til the other day. Was doing about 80 and got flashed... Only ever known people to get points on the M25 if the speed limit is restricted.

Prefered the german plates... Not liking the new font at all. I like the pvw feature... dont know if anyone elses mag did the same, but my copy repeated the first half of the mag twice meaning that you rado was in it twice!!!

Nice storms go for more than £4.5k. For that money you're better off looking for a nice VR6. The leather condition depends on the use of the car. I bought mine on 123k and the leather looks like its done half that! I've also seen cars with far less miles with crap condition leather.

My 2 year old Yoko's on my golf started to do that. Still had loads of tread but they went really hard. ANY type of bend in the wet and they would loose grip. Span it really badly at No-Rice (back in the Guildford days) going past Porsche under the bridge... ended up bouncing the car up the pavement backwards, completely jumping the grass verge, and stopping between two trees... I was a lucky boy that night. Only damage was a chewed wheel and rear wheel bearing. Tyre heald and I drove home...

Toothed belts are the nuts. My '40 used to hit 15psi and just sit there. No loss of boost all the way to over 7k rpm.

My VR has been cutting out lots lately... Quite annoying if you have any kind of volume coming from the music box in the dash as it's caught me out 2 or three times as I thought my power steering had packed up. I tend to use my 'box more than my brakes when I'm driving.

Oh, I was presuming that all rados had the sunroof switch next to the interior light like I do... shame, as I wouldnt mind a snazzy new light like the w8.

Er, with the sunroof switch :? :? I can only see buttons for the reading lamps and main light....... Where is you sunroof switch?

I've had poor service from flux, and poor quotes from brentacre. Brentacre also told me that I couldnt have an agreed value on my mk2 Golf as it wasn't old enough. I'm with HIC.

I nearly shit myself when I saw 32.6mpg on mine... Shoulda taken a picture!! I think I've only ever got over 30mpg a few times!!!!
