New Shell advert + Veyron standing start vid

Never liked VLC player myself, it can't play real media files and in my experience has always been crap with quicktime, much prefer media player classic, media player 11 is pretty good aswell. -

Indeed it is, luckily (for those that didn't know) Quicktime Alternative lets you watch qt but without the awful software, likewise Real Alternative allows you to get rid of the feckin' awful RealOne player. -
Not keen on what they've done to the interior, but otherwise that's superb! 8)

  Fookin 'ell ... good job there weren't any passengers!

I have finally seen a Veyron....and on the road!!
steve_16v replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
Nice motor 8) Thought they'd be bigger than that though, like when I was following a Diablo once, that thing was massive, always assumed the Veyron would be similarly sized. -
Nice one, Corrado's a great present when you're 18, I had to wait till I was 21 to be given a car, and that was my mums AX 1.1, to be honest it wasn't that bad a car while it lasted (wrote it off after a month :( but got £2500 from the insurance :) )

It's in the description 'boxer tailpipe on a corrado', there's a pic of one in the last post of this thread... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39013&r&start=30

    that's effin hilarious!

I say get a 16v, obviously there are exceptions to the rule but on average they're both cheaper to buy and cheaper to run than the VR6. They aren't slow either, granted the VR is quicker in a straight line but for everyday driving the 16v is plenty quick enough.

Wow, that's remarkably little damage for hitting a deer, lucky escape there (obviously not so lucky for the deer)

Finally got round to having my new throttle cable put in ... what a difference!!! The pedal feels really light now and the throttle response is sooooooo much quicker :D Wish I'd done it when I bought the car now, honestly can't believe how much faster the car feels!

Sabine Driving M5 Vs 996 GT3 at The Ring!

Great video, one of the few ring vids that I've actually watched to the end. Would love a passenger ride round there with a professional driver in a fast car 8) -
Here you go dude, quality vid! Click

I like that

Wow, loads of nice (if dusty) cars in there! Not a bad little find 8) Looks like they've been there a fair old while aswell ... could do with brushing up on my Portugese to find out what happened.
-
Not yet, but when someone is behind me I do on occasion hold the engine about 4000rpm, pop the spoiler up, then floor it! :) Pretty sad but I find it entertaining.
-
  would of thought everyone knew about that!

DO NOT put DOT 5 in your car! It's silicon based and will make a right old mess of your brake system. You can use 5.1 but in my opinion you don't need it unless you regularly suffer from fluid fade (unusual), you're much better off sticking with DOT 4 and changing it regularly, annually is recommended, more frequent if you do track days or thrash it everywhere.
-
No, the corrado was designed to use DOT 4, mixing the different fluids is a no no aswell, they can have a bad reaction and corrode your brake system.
-
ELR is great, I think it's just one of those shows that you need to watch a few episodes to get into, otherwise it probably does seem middle of the road.
-
pah, both classic shows! At the moment I've mostly been watching Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), Scrubs, Smallville, Lost, King of Queens, and since I found a website that has every episode of the Simpsons to watch I've been catching up on that recently. (*cough* google alluc *cough*)

I say go for it, that alpina looks lovely, and 47.9mpg combined is quite frankly amazing from an engine with 302 lb ft and 197bhp.
-
Such a shame :( There were some really nice cars in there too.

The general consensus from when I was looking into it was to just get the rear 25mm, iirc the 28mm makes the rear slide out too easily.
