Unfortunately three badly damaged panels is more than likely an insurance write-off these days with valvers. Sounds like you might have to buy it back from the ins. company and repair it yourself.

They do look nice and shiny, but, it looks like they've not masked off the reverse lights so won't they light-up red or pink now?

Absolutely, I know two brothers one's got an r32 and the other's got a ferrari 360, now you would expect the ferrari to be much quicker but because the owner isn't a particularly good driver on country roads the r32 keeps up with him. It's even worse in the wet because the 360 (and the 355 he used to have) has crap traction and gets left behind! (Obviously when on dual carriageways and motorways the r32 has no chance). I would say your G60 and his r32 are pretty close in terms of performance so the better driver should win.

Definately the Ferodo DS of those three, the Mintex M1144 are good but lose effectiveness over 400deg and aren't as good for prolonged hard driving, the standard Ferodo ones from Halfords are a good replacement for OEM but aren't really suited to hard driving. The DS2500 on mine are fantastic pads but as with most FR/racing pads the very first stop you do when cold is crap, and they're a bit noisy.

The S2 is a great car but looks wise they've dated badly, when getting my rado I could have had a v5 audi coupe (not an s2) a lot cheaper but went for the rado because it still looks good

If it was money no object I'd go for a full bare metal respray, then a quality leather retrim with plenty of sound deadening put in.

After having a rear ARB and new rear beam bushes fitted this week I've been chucking mine into corners :D The handling is even more go-kart like now, highly recommended! Even the mechanic who did the work said it felt like a different car afterwards (also had all the engine mounts replaced and braided lines put on, it truly does feel like a different car now) Talk about jumping in at the deep end Nick! :salute:

Yes For stopping the rears are perfectly fine as they are, there's hardly any weight over them (especially under heavy braking) so they'll just try and lock up earlier, if your ABS isn't working this will make the rear end try and overtake the front (unsafe), if it is working the ABS will kick in prematurely and actually make your brakes worse. Adjusting the brake bias valve will sort this but then render any upgrade completely pointless. Saying that though the mk4 rear brake conversion is pretty common, although that's mainly because it improves the handbrake. If you want a better feel from the pedal get some braided hoses on there, you'll definately notice a difference with them on as the old rubber hoses flex slightly under load giving a spongy feel to the pedal. Braided hoses don't flex and give you a much more solid feeling pedal.

Been lucky so far, a weekend is the longest I've been without driving it (and that was only because I didn't need to use it) wouldn't fancy being without it for months at a time like others have
