  1. Also missing a battery cover which helps tidy things up, still available from the dealers  nice to see you got one in the end!
  2. ^^lol  X2 Go Karl.....
  3. your next problem will be that you can only select 6 of the 7 available options as one user Kip  Thank god we dont need to get that far
  4. Not many have voted then, i'm the only one with a 1.8 so far other than G60  and i'm guessing the 2 8v's are both ours too
  5. A Bit bored at home after an eye op so thought i'd get mine out Oo err! I have the 2 minichamps ones and the revell one too but these are a little rarer. some of the Schabak ones which are also 1.43 like the minichamps were the ones you could get from dealers at the time Corrado's were being sold. Also some of the Herpa ones including the green Essen motor show one which is quite rare as is the Scirocco/Corrado set (one for sale on ebay and seen on here) I picked some of these up on german Ebay But the rarest are the Diorama's which Andy665 very kindly offered to me as i expressed much interest in these two and luckily let me buy them when having a clearout.
  6. But not for a very long time  Used the standard springs with the Biltein dampers. a little on the high side but thats how i like it
  7. Yeah i have some Bilstein B4 dampers on my 8v and they are bloody superb for the money, Drewie has some on his G60 too i believe.
  8. Yep all mini champs say 1 of 2750 or whatever the number in total is they dont have a solo number as if to say this is number 27 of 5000. Quite cunning if you ask me  will post up my collection when i get time
  9. Ha Ha Cheers hopefully its inspired a few to do the same too  :cuckoo:
  10. Indeed they are pooped Yan, first jobs will be suspension replacement along with brakes as soon as funds allow :) Being totally honest but i was quite stunned to see how good it was under the arches as i reallywas expecting a whole lot worse with so much kack under there but it must have actually helped preserve it too being so dry and barely used :?
  11. Ooh interesting! i'll be round to see the ones who say it just pulls out if it doesn't
  12. Yeah i seem to remember your opinions on Nugget when you stayed at mine that time  i know what you mean though mate it is definately a marmite colour and absolutely no offence taken. Hmmm a museum eh! what would you charge for entry??? Cant sell it and nope will never be a daily but will be played with when i like to when the sun shines. I will always take it to events too but maybe a few less than the Nugget, we'll see though mate as still a very very long way off. Nice to see you spending a bit more time on here too :salute:
  13. Hi Phil, took my time to be perfectly honest, the trick is to do one at a time and not expect to do it all in a day ( no point rushing to do only a half decant job) and whats a week or so if its been filthy for years? :? if you know what i mean. Spent around 2 hours doing each one but the petrol tank side is always the worst as it has more obsticles to deal with. If ya need any tips let me know i'll pm you them :salute:
  14. Doing it tomorrow if u happened to be free 8) Can help out tomorrow no problem but will have to be mid afternoon say 3 onwards and at my place as it'l take me an age to get all the tools out! Hows that sound? Shouldn't take too long if it's just the pads  If good i'll send you my address pm and my number
  15. Couldn't agree more mate and although it really honestly wasn't my intension i cant stop thinking about it Lol! Drews car was a MAJOR influence too He's got a lot to answer for
  16. Well theres still a fair bit to do on K1 PVW yet mate but hopefully most of that will be before the year end then a bit more in the next year or so but in a nutshell i have achieved so very much with the VR6 and i always love taking it to events but i feel some folk are bored of seeing it after so many years so maybe it is time to bring the Nugget (Sunflower :flower: ) up to scratch and do it all again Lol! Jesus what am i thinking! Ps, Jude is loading the gun as we speak!  But make no mistake, i can't ever imagine life without K1 PVW sad i know but if it wasn't for that car i wouldn't be with Jude :luvlove:
  17. Hmmm begining to regret that comment Laura  specially after seeing how well the arches came up 8)
  18. cheers neil, nice to have a second opinion. have you managed toget the rear brakes done yet? could help out if you are struggling as i have the tools for the job
  19. Ah cheers matey, will give it a poke tomorrow then
  20. Cheers guys, really chuffed with the results too as you can well imagin.
  21. How difficult is it to remove just the outer rubber seal on the rear windscreen, does it just prise out and which side would you start from. Hope someone can help as i done want to damage the seal as they are obsolete. Thanks. Kip
  22. Yes indeedy! 21 years of dirt removed from both rear arches today. Was really really pleased to find no corrosion other than a small section near where the petrol tank bolts to the upper arch but willl hopefully tackle this myself. The earth connector is still attached too despite so much dirt festering there for so long, the car hasn't had such a had life as there is only extremely minor corrosion the the lower arch where it meets the sill, very minor in fact so super chuffed about that as i was having nightmares thinking how bad they are going to be once i removed all the dirt but that wasn't the case as you can see. Anyway a few more pics of todays efforts
