Well finally have one and just wanted to ask if everyone can see the pictures folk have put on? as I'm having problems viewing them. And am thinking about giving it the Black Magic treatment! :) Thanks guys! Kip.
-
What was the jet like yan? Black no doubt? i didn't know that.
-
No problem BigD, did you know you can still get the chrome rear VR6 badge from the dealers? cost is around £7.00 inc vat. Bought a couple the other day.
-
Yeah! know what you mean re the rear Corrado badge yan, thought it looked not quite right somehow but will order the front and have a look anyway. Be interesting to see a rear one in metal though i have to say.
-
Cazza you are a god! :notworthy: Aint this site fab :D Cheers fella.
-
Would be pretty much a low life chap stealing off another C though wouldn't it? Am sure one'll turn up somewhere though, am ok for the moment just fancied a spare, like you do! :)
-
Oh Right! but i dont think it was him. I've been after one for a while, cant get one anywhere and they are obsolete I'm afraid and have been for a while :( so just got myself a few rear VR6 ones as they were still available.

Just seen a silver VR6 grill badge go on ebay for £53.00 plus £2.00 postage, Item was brand new and also came with the rear VR6 badge too  Silly money or what? Had a couple of bids on it but he must have really wanted it.

I blow up the tyres another 5 psi to keep them firmer and put a sticker over the clocks to tell me so so i dont forget to deflate them. I fire mine up maybe once a month if that and let it run for a good half an hour to get rid of most condensation, i also have a long flat drive so a couple of forward and back runs keep the discs from going rusty its also parked with the handbrake off too. I use a battery conditioner which keeps it topped up and this only sends in power when it needs it and then shuts off again so it wont over charge or damage the battery.

Cheers jim, I can tell you're a bit envious. Used it to rescue judith once when we had a very heavy snow fall, those mountain bike width tyre's dig in a treat. :D Could maybe do with a sticker that says my other car is a Corrado though so I dont feel too embarrased when folk have a giggle at it :?

Love the avatar pic john! had to double take for a second. Jim, how about a non vag winter hack? that way you dont care too much. Here's mine :D one carefull owner from new and only 42,000 mile's from new! even Goldie likes it :D

Did some fettleing to K1PVW. Tinkered about with a few bits on J11VWS (Butterfly's - Judith's) while Judith got on with some serious cleaning.
-
Nosey Trunkie Want a Bun! Lol! Tis just under sixty for the moment but i might take it for a cheeky spin to whack the miles up when she's not looking
-
As dinkus says, ANY deviation from factory spec will indeed loose a few points. Even painting the mouldings black would surely loose a couple at least. :( Kip

In all fairness to the cars current owner (but not for much longer) Judiths car has a little more wow factor simply due to the AMOUNT OF TIME AND MONEY! spent on it. However being a total storm freak she has now been given the chance to move on her current car and purchase one with a little less mileage. The new storm has been extensively maintained by its current owner and is a credit to the said gentleman who wanted it to go to a good home, which I'm sure himself and everyone who is aware of judith's dedication will agree in saying it has done so! And if I'm honest I'm a bit jealous as its got lower mileage than mine and I'd love it too. Guess I'd better get a bit more buffing done ready for next season as I'm sure it'll look fantastic at stanford hall

Cant believe i'm reading about a press car goin for that much. Only a week or so ago i paid £500 for some new wheels for my bicycle and am not kidding if i knew about it i'd have had it instead but i dont get on here that much so never scan through everything. Really hope it doesn't get broken so very best of luck to scarlett and grade a. :( Kip.

Hi daves16v, Well just thought i'd say how impressed i was with the kit and instructions, I helped (atually did) fix butterfly's this weekend with the one she bought off you a while back. Totally surprised with it being so easy. Can i have one of each please? and are you at inters on sunday? Cheers. Kip. -
