  1. Looks like an open and shut case then! The C stays
  2. Hmmm kinda reminds me of when i bought mine 8 years ago, was still at home at 28 years old and had 10k in the bank. I should have done the sensible thing and got on the property ladder which was a long time before they shot up by the way. But instead i spent £18'000 on a 3 year old VW from a main dealers  To say dad hit the roof was an understatement, mum was in tears and it was as if i had committed a major crime. We didn't talk for almost a week which is quite hard when you're living with them. things improved a little when i started to come home with a trophy or two from doing concours competitions at VW shows. As if they had a little respect for the lump of metal as they called it, I missed the boat regarding the property ladder which in hind sight was very stupid as i couldn't afford the car and a mortgage. I now rent a place and my folks have totally accepted the fact that i like this stupid hobby and we get on as a family should, but its taken some time for them to understand this. And if i had sold it when they wanted me to i would never have met judith (Butterfly) we have been together over 2 years now and she recently moved in with me too, My folks think she's come down from venus or something and reckon I''m very lucky. So they're glad i didn't sell it really. All i can add is that parents really only want whats best for their children but in the same breath thay dont have a clue what this car thing is all about, we are what we are no matter what Corrado you own. Tough it out fella and they'll quit nagging you soon. Sorry about the Mills and Boon section above but it buttoned the lips of parents big time. :)

    Personal Plates

Like mine lots, cost £500 from DVLA all in and the one it replaced was N85 MGF which was on the car when i bought it by the way was sold on for £385 :) so all together with fees and retention for it I paid just £225 for what is the ultimate plate for me. Even my dad was impressed and thats sayin something Lol!
  4. GREEDY! Lol! thought it looked like Norev, I have a couple of their models now mainly tour de france vehicles as i'm a roadie at heart and have recently discovered that they do hundreds of different ones! Hurray! so am starting a collection :) Will have to get an IROC too though. Rude not to, but who do you use for Norev models?
  5. Who makes it andy? and while on the subject where do you/can you still get those garage scene models? been looking all over the web and no joy. Keep seeing the Norev 1/43 Corrado though Lol!
  6. Take a look at the ARZ tuning website for a very nice version of the corrado one, i ordered one a week or two ago and it looks very nice and fits exactly as it should.
  7. Hi Neil keep looking as you go by coz I'd be up for a few picies round there :)
  8. Thanks for that alldub we did wonder if it was you who bought it when we saw the area you come from was the same :? Am sure its in very good hands. :)
  9. How about Black Magic LC9Z now thats pretty rare i think. I recall seeing only four so far but theres probably twelvety million users with em on here. I remember when i got the phone call from the main dealers where i left my details of what i was lookin for. Hello sir we have a car i think you should come to view. What colour is it i asked? Its mettalic black said the dealer. Mmm i thought, i was really after a mystic storm but went to look anyway, got to the dealers and walked round the corner and my mouth hit the floor OHHH MY GOD!!!!!!! i knew there and then if it checked out ok this is the one. :D Still have it 8 years on and it looks better now than it did then 8) AH Happy Days.
  10. Hello there, and welcome to the forum. tell us some more then! :?
  11. Yeah was a little suprised at how long it took! I put it down to the wrong time of year. :) Also glad its gone as i didn't like seeing it stuck outside on our drive, think its back in a garage now.
  12. Well the storm has now gone and i have to say its quite a strange feeling watching jude get a little upset about it which i guess is very understandable as it makes me wonder how I'd feel about doing the same, not that i have thought that i may add. The car has gone to an enthusiastic chap so am sure he'll be on here with talking about it soon. Now its time to start thinking about future plans for the new one and what needs to be done before the show season starts. :? So just a little thanks for all your kind words about sunroof less storm. :) Regards. Kip.

    My new bucket

Expensive indeed but then as you say you'll be using it twice a week Lol! grit guards a good one, like that idea. but am sure the neighbours will have a chukle when they see ya scootin all around the car :)

    My new bucket

What on earth is that? tell us more andy :D
  15. Agree with dinkus, the foilatec stuff is awsome if done correctly, almost if they have been powder coated. Me personally think silver as its neutral and almost OE. And as for gettin them dirty well this car rarely sees dirt so dont think that'll be a problem, 8) A good squirt with a bit of motor cycle degreaser and a fettle with a funny shaped brush and its OOOHHH! they look nice
  16. i reckon whoever buys it could have a corrado already and fancy it because of its low miles even though its not always a good thing, I have a VR6 and upgraded from one of these and i still miss it ten years on, :( just liked the way it handled and so on. I cant afford another at the mo but if i could then i would want it Lol! imensley underated cars IMO. Kip.
  17. The noggin is like a lever and needs to be tweeked towards the back of the car while tryin to slide the handle forward at the same time. took me ages to work it out but have removed it a few times without too much trouble. Hang in there it'll go soon. and you can still get the handles from the dearers  for about £27 for a leather covered one. Kip.
  18. Its also a lot better to remove the hand brake handle and the hand brake lever's shroud too. The handle slides forward towards the dash but there's a little plastic noggin which needs to be tweeked forward or back to unclip the atcual handle, then the shroud slides forward too but take care not to split the plastic here. Then its pretty self explanatory on removing the console/tunel part, amazing how much crap gets under here too :) Kip.

    Headlight Fixings

Hi there, you can get the screws from a main dealers for pence! but the plates you talk of are a little more elusive. Make sure you use a very good fiting driver when removing the old ones too as the 3rd one at the back of the light can be a pain if its stuck.
  20. Halfords also do whats called a trim adhesive strip too, comes on a roll and is double sided and is great for sticking on the side rubbing strips. :)
  21. What like butterflys storm ya mean? Lol!

    Bent alloy!!!

looks good indeed but would keep it on the rear if it was mine :?
  23. Well the front badge arrived today and i have to say it looks very nice indeedy, although it is the same size as the ones which are now obsolete the finish is more like that of a golf VR6 badge ie, its more of a chrome finish as opposed to what i would call a satin/brushed alloy look. In essence it'll probably look better as the VW roundel is the same kinda finish as the new badge. As you said yan, it does also look very much like a genuine one thats painted or something but they are slightly different when you look at the back of them, but certainly a bit of an OEM replica as it has a part number on it and a date which is 12/02 for the record. :) Total cost was 26,70 euro's inc delivery. might have to get another just in case. Like ya do :) Kip.
