HT leads - if it's not broke, should I fix it?
KIPVW replied to staffs_til_i_die's topic in Engine Bay
LOL! that's awesome. I didn't know Fisher Price did engine mods  Absolute Quality :D -
Nice pic's there Rob, and I have to say that the car does indeed look so much better for it! highly recomend anyone else even thinking about having any work done by Rob to stop thinking and get arranging. I reckon it's added ten times the cost incurred into value of the car now :salute: Great job, cheers.

Thanks for those comments Jim very kind of you. I guess it really is a personal taste thing and weather its a standard looking 16v like skinnymans, a very slightly modded car like MK1campaigns and Goldies or indeed a complete road ripping engine transplant like cheese wire's or crazy dave's then its totally up to you, my choice is obviously the standard look and i even love not like LOVE the orange side repeaters Lol! I think they speak volumes looking as they were when they left the factory but thats just my oppinion and most certainly doesn't mean I dislike any that are moddified. Two of my fave looking cars are Goldies and MK1campaigns which are both tastfully modded but i guess standard will always age better as mods and wheel types go out of fashion so in years to come then a standard car is always going to be respected no matter how old fashioned it is, as indeed in a few years time the Corrado is going to be called old fasioned and at the same time A CLASSIC. I love mine dearly and dont ever want to sell it but then you never know whats around the corner. I think what i'm trying to say is that if you can afford to keep it then do with it what you like as you are the one who has to drive/own it so enjoy it whatever it is :)

Indeed

A very nice thing to happen to anyone Jim, you lucky fella :notworthy:

As said, try chris knott above, I used them for 5 years and went elsewhere this year as the quote i got was a fair bit cheaper however i was deceived slightly by my current company so am most definatley going to renew again with chris knott.

What a cock! I would happily drive my old toyota down to his house and drive it into his living room just for fun! see what the dork thinks to that! Dont worry mate its insured  As said though Fay, he doesn't have a prayer, do it through insurance!

See your point there but imagine if they gave every seller one pot! it would cost them a fortune and no doubt put the price up too. I use zymol concours wax which is £160 a tub for 8oz, and i would have liked to try that too but i guess its word of mouth if you are not sure about anything, although hard to get a feeler when its a new product. Am sure someone will have a good oppinion of it soon. :)

Hello Del, I know that one has the same side mirrors as a corrado :D
-
Nice pics matey, they really do compliment each other. Cracking day up here too 8)

Hi Mate, I think you need a ten bar sender as i think the Audi ones are 5 but dont quote me on that, what engine you got? if a VR6 then if you look near the expansion tank theres 2 grommet's about 4 to 6 inch below that. its easier to spot if you push it through from the engine side into the cabin and best to remove the passenger lower shelf too. Only took 10 mins and this was the easiest bit :)

Blimey! indeed you must be doing something right Lol! enjoy the wedding then in that case :D

Yandards' Nugget G60 - gone but not forgotten..
KIPVW replied to Yandards's topic in Members Gallery
Indeed an impressive amount of work there Yan, wish i could do that sort of thing too! looking forward to seeing it sometime. -
Dont forget to try Chris Knott too Fay, they almost guarantee to beat your renewal by a nice margin, maybe more so if you're a club member too 8)

Well saw it in the flesh on sunday and the first place was certainly justified mate :D enjoyed the ride back to our place too the sound of the shrick was awsome :bonk: Hope it didn't take you and Fay too long to get back home! See you again soon.
-
Indeed it does look stunning Dave, told you everyone would agree :D and its fair to say theres clean and theres bruny clean Lol! see you soon. Have you sorted out the engine bay back to standard yet too? Stanford Hall could be very interesting
-
yep VW only and last time i bought some they were less than £15 :)
-
How wierd, just fitted mine today, bit fiddley and it took about 3 hours but i take my time and have a good look at everything as i go. Had to remove all the lower dash bits and took the glovebox out too, just need to fit the wire to the pressure sender and all done. They do look sexy as i have to say :D
-
Agree that the wheels indeed give it the impact it may be missing Michael look at the attention Bill and Gareth's cars recieved, however it has to go deeper than just bolt on bits, it also has to be carried out well if you know what i mean? your detail skill is absoloutely awsome and very thorough. I spent quite some time looking while you weren't there  and i kid you not i'm so glad i dont have to compete against such examples like yours, andy's dave's, neil's and especially shaun's
-
Oh interesting method Dave, will try this when i eventually do mine :)
-
PMSL and so did Judith
