  1. As Jim says they can go at the drop of a hat, a few years ago at Stanford Hall show I parked up in the concours as usual gave the car a good clean and left it all day with the bonnet up but when i fired it up to leave it was missing big style :( thought someone had been messing for it to go like that lol! turns out was the coil pack. Hope you have many more trouble free miles in it.... Kip
  2. Nothelles for me and much as i like the Borbets the exclusivity is something i like. I'd like a set of the Brands Hatch wheels that were an option on the VR6 too at somepoint, they are pretty rare too. Ps The Teddy's are made by Ronal :) I like those too lol!
  3. Cheeky :) Chris where were the number plates from???? I Like as mine came from merlins too in 1999 but not certain if they were the supplying dealers but be nice to have some of those.
  4. Many Congratulations Jay. Kip & Jude x
  5. Hi Mate, Mine is a late car 94 so has the slightly higher springs and from tyre to arch it measures around 90mm on the rear and 80mm on the front to the centre of the arch. My early 89 car is about 10/15 mm lower on both front and rear
  6. Oooomph! that is without a doubt the only after market wheel i'd ever fit to any of mine :)
  7. Good to hear all is ok mate, that'd make me feel a bit sick :( We have our garage fully alarmed and is never not set, even for an hour or two it's always on, like you say you never know who's been noseying round while the door has been open while you work on the car in the garage previously.
  8. Well mine was 10 months lo! did insist I was in no rush though :)
  9. Yet another reason I dont buy that sh1te mag! lol! Tossers!
  10. Nice progress at last, how does the rear panel look welded in place? were you happy with how it looked? I was so paranoid about how the new piece would blend in with the sealant over the seams (etc) trying to get it to look factory lol! they did a superb job though! Nice to keep popping down to see it aint it! :)
  11. No not at all. Anyone who is a current member will be able to add themselves to the list but they will still need to renew from May 1st onwards so if you are not currently a member I'd wait till May or join on the day. Will add a list on here for those who want to join the club on the day nearer the time. :-)
  12. We'll probably get a list going nearer the time I think just so we have a rough idea, 50 plus would be great as I think the biggest collection we have had recently was the 20th anniversary celebration at Stanford Hall in 2008 with 48 Corrado's :)
  13. Yes all welcome to join on the day for the 2012 year. Anytime from 1st May onwards if anyone wants to join in advance on the CCGB website and you can now even use paypal. :)
  14. Finally get the new VAG suspension fitted to the VR thats been under the bed for two years along with a rear beam refurb :) and off course a few other bits underneath when funds allow :)
  15. And just a gentle reminder that membership runs from 1st May to end of April so all attendees will need to have either paid their annual subs before hand or renew on the day. So much easier though if you are paid up in advance for us all Lol! Thanks! Really cant wait for this :)
  16. Yes that is the whole essence of a National Day, bringing people together for good day out be it alone or with a family. Everyone is welcome! :)
  17. Good work Alex :) you fitting a standard top tensioner too as opposed to the MK 4 one? Just being nosey lol! when my chains were done by DG Autotech the top tensioner loked almost perfect and Dave commeted that you could easily re-use it, not that they would just that it was in such good condition even with 95k on the clock. Testament to regular oil changes and not many short journeys i guess :)
  18. What is it with these prats! Grrrr better to put a buy it now and get what they want but they dont want the extra costs!. :(
  19. Sorry to see this wullie :( that is a fair clout too!
  20. Yep Well done Eric! Cant wait either, just hope the sun shines on the day :)
  21. Yep some definately have 535 numbers on so I guess is was just to help with picking at the factory as they are a pretty generic kit.
