  1. I think tooling up another factory would have seen them go bust years ago :/
  2. I'd give yourself a whole day because i'd be sticking felt to the back of everything to stop any rattles etc, plus if you cant remember where stuff goes it may take a while to sort that bit out. Am sure you'll get plenty of assistance if you ask in here as i know I myself am pretty ok with where bits of trim go as well as Yan and a few more chaps. I think the rear panel has gone obsolete but worth asking at VW, were around £50.

That is just for the drivers side though Tim, not sure about cost of the other side but i'm sure they'll advise :?
  4. The die-cast models are like rocking horse goo now and saw one go for £112 last week on the bay so thats a good price considering the work gone into it and very original. :) The Revell models sold for around £30 when they were around....
  5. I changed my starter on the vr a few years back with an exchange unit from vw and couldn't believe how much more powerfull it is on starting, just bangs into life so i'd happily recomend a new VAG one John..

Amazing how much better the wipers work too! no juddering or slopiness :)
  7. You only got one key mate?? Give yourself a slap! Maybe a dealer job to be honest and jude had a spare done for about £70 including a transponder chip. Source sounds on tankersley industial estate for the clifford fob. I love you too Christopher x

Get a new one from VW, around £12 part number 536955325. simply push fits into place in about 30 seconds :salute:
  9. Well not sure i'll actually take a car to stanford this year mate but we'll see, lots needed on both cars still especially the VR...
  10. Do you have the pegs that hold it in place still?
  11. Yes am strangely familiar with this and how it fits with those little plastic peg things lol! it's like a tailgate recycling centre in our garage
  12. It hadn't even left the safety of our garage and he was stressed out this morning. :help: Is the car going to get daily inspection visits from the Kipster whilst they're rebuilding it? I don't believe the stress has even started yet! Good luck with the repairs. Make sure they don't paint it flat grey by accident, haha It will indeed be inspected almost daily john, the body shop is literally 1/4 mile from where i work
  13. Some parts were made elsewhere but ALL Corrado were built at Osnabruck.
  14. Well had a call yesterday and am now taking it in today :| let the sleepless nights comence
  15. Yep forget it. It'll take far longer and probably cost way nope than the 60 quid excess to fit a new one. Cant see a windscreen company having a problem with it if you explain what you want to do. I know mine didn't mind in the slightest. :-)
  16. Mine is insured to be kept on the drive :)
  17. I would have though not as that would be some extensive mods and deviating away from the classic (standardish) status, but may be worth asking anyway. :?
  18. Ohright, bonus of being an old fart then i guess, my nugget is insured fully comp with an agreed value for 4k for £144. Looks like they have done a cracking job of helping to get it repaired after my incident in October too, Well see how though soon as it goes in Monday....
  19. Laura, Give Peter D James a call, Google them! as yours is over 20 years old it will qualify for classic policy and you will not need NCD either as they dont normally need it with a classic and my policy even has unlimited milage. a very good price too. I have the Nugget and the VR with them. Mention the CCGB also as this may help with a discount too. Let me know how you get on.. Kip
  20. Ooh going in on monday. Getting nervous already lol. Yan, yeah will do that mate but thats the added bonus of being a deaf twat lol! My cars are the quietest that ever left Karmann :-D
  21. Stilll not gone in yet so must bug them again today :?
  22. There was a good thread a while ago too David if you do a search, some members with Massive tanks
  23. Hi Mate, will help a lot if you stick this in the wanted section as folk will see you are actually needing one, also put down your location as that may help too :) Good luck. Kip
