  1. As above, this was the only way i could eventualyl remove them.. was a five minute job using the Irwin Bolt grippers... make sure you have replacement bolts before removing though.
  2. Good point about the ABS Cage... ive had to fish old discs out of the bin before to get the cages off. That was AFTER id refitted all the disc etc and realised the ABS light coming on. You can imagine the swearing of having to take it all apart again haha.
  3. Prob worth changing the bearings on the rear too.. you'll have to put a race in the new discs anyway, may as well make a new one and whilst youre at it put a new bearing on too.
  4. 95? That will be a VDO sender and pump... right?
  5. This is it, ive not change the pads as there was plenty of meat left on them. Though they have been out... maybe worse taking the calipers off and reassembling it all again.
  6. I greased the ball joints too as once the small arm popped off, whilst it was raining.... that was a fun drive home.
  7. ah ok, will give it ago.. prob best i get under and have a look ey lol. Thanks for the help Dr M :)
  8. What do you mean, you suspect its done it since new? Its only being doing it for the last couple of weeks. Cheers :)
  9. I think you are correct mate. How do i go about addressing this, does the whole steering column need replacing? If so does that mean the ignition barrel needs replacing too - isnt it fixed to the steering column? OR can the UJ just be replaced? Cheers
  10. Doubtful the tray is still available but costs nothing to find out. Best bet is to get it off a breaker... OR jsut get someone to fabricate a piece and get it welded in. Just make sure to remove any rust to prevent it returning.
  11. Bled the brakes after fitting new rear calipers. Tried twice and the brakes still feel sh1te... :(
  12. Nice set of wheels, i like them and YES dare to be different... but tasteful. If im honest i saw them on the corrado and immediately though Delorean... which is cool
  13. Here Here! :D Good man! I went to the coast today and wanted to take the Corrado. Unfortunately i still have the rear brakes to bleed, the interior is a mess with trim still needing to be refit from taking the headlining out and dog hair :-? So took the Passat instead. Was dying to get the C on the country roads. ---------- Post added at 11:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:24 PM ---------- Here Here! :D Good man! 14. I didnt even need to finish the first sentence before knowing what you had done. DOH, bad at the best of times but when youve had a respray. :( You'll only do it the once though ;-)
  15. Hi Ron, Ill double check the ET in the morning but pretty sure they are ET35 - checked on the site i bought them and it states ET35 too. The fronts need about 8mm clearance to fit... the rears fit but the centre cap will pop off due to the dust cap. The Spacers are 10mm front and 3mm for the back.
  16. I think you guys were right  Bump!
  17. Fitted 2 brand spanking new rear calipers. On the old ones the handbrake mechanism was shot and it only just passed last years MOT on the handbrake efficiency test. :-/ Easy job. Was expecting a fit getting the flexi hoses off.
