Just bought the most ugliest car in the world
Critical_Mass replied to Majik's topic in General Car Chat
phil - that picture is hilarious. -
Yup and may also be worth changing the housing as this can become brittle with age. Also maybe worth changing the coolant sensor whilst you're doing the housing and stat. Dont forget to test the new thermostat before fitting just to save you hassle of removing it again if it is fault (doubtful it will be but always check).

Alex can you add me please with the following details. Critical_mass aka Gaz LS26 8BP Bordeaux VR6 Cheers :D I suspect theres a lot more Corrado's in the Leeds and even Yorkshire area that arent members on here. -
Watched Grown Ups and The Expendables last weekend. Grown ups was enjoyable and funny would give it a 7.5-8 out of ten. As for The Expendables ive got to say i was disappointed. Some ok fighting scenes in it, but other then that i thought it was a bit lame and over rated 5/10 and thats been generous. :gag:

Good quali today, bar Alonso getting pole (booooo!). Jenson did well, shame Lewis didnt get higher then 5th but he should pull it back in the race :D Good to see Webber beat Vettel though :D Should be a good race tomorrow

The definitive "what exhaust?" discussion thread!

Sports CAT is a good idea though imo. From experience when i fitted a Miltek sportcat the car sharpened up. -
mistakes think he thinks its a demolition derby :D have to admitt it was a good race i was sayin to a friend a couple of months ago, about if the race stuards had control of the sprinkler systems when the race gets boring they could wet the track just to liven it up abit  I read somewhere on either the BBC or Formula1.com site before the season started that there was an idea in the pipe line to introduce sprinkler system for races. I kid you not. Sure it would make the races more exciting, but its all a little artificial for me.

C5 OEM - that engine bay looks prestine! Looks like its just rolled out of the factory, absolutely shiny shiny clean! :D

Brilliant race. I love the Spa GP. Excellent drive, edge of the seat stuff through out the whole race. Bad luck for Jenson though. Otherwise i think it would have been a Mclaren 1-2. I was laughing at Vettel. The number of mistakes he made was unbelievable, certainly not WDC material. Im glad Webber has extended the gap to Vettel. Roll on Monza! :D

The people who create those monsterous things needs shooting!!! Agree after seeing the rest the silver one didnt look that bad and i liked the roadster one. But the rest are just hideaous! Just not style nor taste! uuuurrrrgh!

Yeah sure gearbox oil doesnt need changing much at all. But on a car thats 15-20 years old id be changing it.

Spotted N reg black rado on Hunslet road at about 5:10pm I gave a nod and a smile and got one back. Never seen you before... anyone on here? Also saw an older gentleman in a L reg blackberry VR on Pontefract road, where the Eagle pub used to be, at about half 8 this morning. Im sure ive seen you before a while ago, but in a grey rado - got a wave :D

My Autowatch alarm does this.. well not automatically, but i can lock the doors whilst driving if i want to. Those with alarm its worth testing yours, as this feature isnt in my manual.

Yes you can. Brilliant story ^^^ I wont ask how you found that :norty: Back on topic - ok cheers i'll see about adjusting it. What about the temp gauge though, as that still seems to work fine but i dont recall taking notice of how i put that back on either. But it seems to be working correctly  Maybe coincidence hmmmm.... anyway i'll adjust the gauge. Hang on though, im 8-9 litres short of the tanks capacity, so why did the fuel hose click telling me its full!!!
-
Sorry another Q regarding the fuel gauge. If ive taken the fuel gauge needle off at some point and not taken note how ive put them on, can you make the fuel gauge read incorrectly? As ive just filled right to the top (until the fuel hose clicked) but the gauge is 1 mark off the top of the gauge. Though it was only 61.XX litres but the tank holds 70 does it not? But i assumed it was full cos it did click. I know i did this with the speedo and it was reading 10mph out cos i hadnt taken note of how i put it back on. Can the same be done for the other needles?

Weeeheeey!!!! FINALLY managed to get the pump out. Took a bit of wobbling to begin with that, then an almighty tug and it popped off. (worded just for you Tom  ) Then changed the sender and back in again. Hope it sorts the shoite fuel gauge out!

8) ^^^ What are the wheels mate, they look like Ronals? -
With Chris Knott they gave me a good price, but the problem i had was when i came to renew they wouldnt budge on the renewal, which was no cheaper. Looked else where and i could half the quote Chris Knott gave me. Just worth a thought. Greenlight have been good for me. THe only thing i miss, which Chris Knott gave, was the agreed valuation.
