  1. Me too, my speed no.1 isnt working. One of a few problems im having at the moment :(
  2. Ok probably best to try that first. Problem is, if it doesnt solve it. I'lll have to use more coolant to top the level back once i've replaced the thermostat.
  3. Right, tonight it appears the heaters will only get warm and will not get hot. Even when i've been driving the car for a while. Now, when i got home i put the bonnet up and felt the top hose for the radiator although it was hot to a certain extent i was able to grab hold of the hose. As with all VRs they get HOT, but i couldnt feel much heat coming from the engine i was able to touch parts with bare hand, that i wouldnt normally be able to touch. However the hoses for the heater matrix did seem hot. Could this be a stuck thermostat? Which would also explain the bad gauge reading???? It was replaced when the engine was put in - jan 08. So seems odd that it will be faulty. Also this may explain the terrible fuel consumption. HELP PLEASE! :(
  4. Hi all, A quick question. 3 out of 5 times my stereo will reset itself when i turn the ignition on. It doesnt happen everytime, only some of the time. I've checked for loose wires. The permenant live is connected correctly - as i say it only happens some times. I sent the headunit back and they say they've tested the headunit and cannot find any faults, they say it sounds like a problem with my car wiring. I had a headunit in just before and it worked fine, didnt reset at all. What could cause this, i was thinking a fault with the ignition switch but this was changed for a genuine unit about a year ago and it is showing no other signs of it being faulty. Any help appreciated. So many things going wrong at the mo.... :(
  5. The Prelude really didnt age very well :pukeright:
  6. Been leaving the handbrake off now so it doesnt freeze on over night. Got to work and went to put the handbrake on and it was frozen off! damn thing!

  8. Come on guys, someone must be able to give me a little more advise?
  9. Looks like im not the only one having this problem. :(
  10. Yeah id agree with Butterfly. Every mod i do i keep the standard parts just incase some time in the future i want to go back to it. Though i've not changed that much aesthetically. Smoked rear lights and repeaters, and badgeless grille. Thats it! Looks wise the Corrado is spot on. A body kit and spoilers just SPOIL the look of the car imo.
  11. OK cool. Thanks guys I've been out in the car today and all seems well, even the handbrake is back to how it was before. Though, i think i'll still see about changing the cables.
  12. Noted :salute: I'll take a look once the snow has melted a bit. Cheers!
  13. Anyone got any suggestions with the temp gauge. Can the temp senders on the front of the engine be done without moving anything from the car... ie front of car or inlet manifold etc will i be able to get the clips that hold the senders in place out?
  14. Shove a new set of handbrake cables on it, that ought to sort the issue out. I used to have to leave mine running for a while so the underside of the car warmed up and the cables defrosted. Yeah i may have to. Is it as simple as i think to change them. Undo them at the mechanism under the trim in the car and also on the caliper. Then slide them out of the tubes they run through under the car - all in reverse to refit?
  15. The rings are worth checking as are the sensors.
  16. intermittent sensor problem?

When you say loose do you mean, when its in a gear the gear stick can be moved around alot? - gear linkeage?
  18. Broke down! :( Got a mile away from home when i could smell burning. Looked in mirror and rear wheels were smoking away - handbrake and froze on. so had to get towed home. They seem to have released more or less now - i think. But the handbrake isnt right. Going to have to strip the brakes when snows gone.
  19. Merry Christmas everyone!!! Hope you all have a good 'un. :reindeer: :x-mas:
  20. Ah sorry my bad. Thought you were after the plug removal tool. There's a few VRs being broken at the mo..

  22. :salute: I'll give it a try dan.. cheers. Trying to work out whether the problem is the gauge or whether its just 2 seperate problems which are both showing on the gauge. oh and the gauge has been dropping relatively quickly, only done about 35 miles of steady driving and the gauge had dropped to the next line down already! :(
