People who say things like that about Corrados, know nothing about them. I've got a mate at work who likes to take the pi55 out of my car, saying its a banger and laughs that its 15 years old. He knows nothing about the car. Oh and this is from a bloke that drives a bright green Fester. :pukeright:

Did you ever get your car back mate?
-
Heated rear screen switch operates them... Which also operates the heated window washer jets.

Well within your right to be annoyed mate, you did right to persue it and even involve the Police. Even better with having a witness. Hope you get it sorted!

I did it ages ago with my uncle as he's well in to his scale modelling, mainly with tanks and he's fecking awesome at it! IIRC the grill and lights were one unit with a chrome strip behind, all we did was cut off the badge and then cut some thin strips out of a modelling plastic sheet my uncle had, but I suppose just cardboard would do the trick! Then stuck them in place and painted them black to match. Was a piece of piss really. Could you put some more pics up? -

Yeah very details and really nice models. On anyone elses model are the wheels wonkey when they spin and does one wheel catch the arches when turned either left or right lock? Thats the only problem ive found with them is the wonkey wheels, oh and the passenger headlight doesnt quite line up with the bonnet. Im picky i know! Rob - how did you do the badgeless grille and badge? Looks sweet mate. No plan to change the wheels? -
Yeah as Ginger says, check the speed sensor. You may have disturbed it when changing the clutch.
-
Prefer the black grille, the red one looks a bit ott imo. May work on a darker colour car but not tornado red, again imo.

When you say 110 degrees is that water or oil. If its oil 110 is fine.

Lemon juice? Though you may need alot of lemons  or some lemon jif

Could they have thrown a litre bottle in
-
Tight tight tight!!!........just the way we like it! Tighter then a ducks ar*se
-
Yeah litres on their own are expensive compared to a 5L bottle. But what i did is once the litre bottle had run out, i just keep it filled up with a 5L bottle from the garage.
-
i only keep a litre in the car at anyone time and it fits nicely in a plastic holder with velcro on it, so it can be stuck to the arch carpet.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Yesterday, fitted the speedo needle so it reads correctly. Drivers wheel developed an almight squeek when turning left. Thought it has something to do with the CV joints or front discs pads i've just had fitted to the car. Turns out one of the splash guard nuts had worked its way loose and was catching the brake disc - hence the awful squeek. Some how the nuts thread has been knackered right on the end. Just took the nut out and alls well. Also sorted the awful noise the exahust sys was making. The was a light gap at the manifold flange due to the flexible nuts needed doing up more. Last week fitted a miltek sports cat and i know they wont give you huge gains but the car feels more lively. Im happy with the car... maybe jinxed myself for saying that. :? -
Anyone got a pictur of how the KW's are installed?
Critical_Mass replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
Put the purple cone on, then the bearing sits on that. Then put the nut on to hold the bearing, the rubber top mount will sit ontop of that. Just fit it all to the car and drop it onto the floor. You can then fit the top plate that sits engine bay ontop of the suspension turrent. Then finally, fit the nice shiney bolt that KW provided. -

Yeah sorry, you're right. I was thinking when i fitted shocks and springs. 7 replaces 6. Sorry. -

Goes 7, 5, 3 (holds the bearing), 4, 6, 2 then 1 The nut should go through the rubber top mount and holds the bearing, just dont tighten it so much that it holds the bearing too much. -
Yeah thats what i did in the end after reading the one post that popped up in the search  I put the needle on just below the rest and the pushed it over the rest. I then checked it on vag com and when it reads 50kph on the speedo it says about 47 on vagcom. So its still not perfect but alot better! i'll save it for another day as ive got other problems at the mo. Just had cv joint, front discs and pads, wheels bearings changed and now my drivers front wheels squeeks like h3ll when turning left. I thought it was the longer wheel bolts i fitted as ive been known to catch the ABS rotors, so i changed them for the OE shorter ones - still does it. SO ive got to investigate that tomorrow... i DO love Corrados

10 points to that man... I've taken the speedo needle off before and put it back on with little notice of how i put it back on. The speedo was fine then... as far as im aware  I didnt realise it had to be put back on in a certain position. Oh well thats something else ive learnt and will know for next time :D
