  1. No IOW i dont have black jax, the bloke who fitted my autowatch alarm was explaining what they were to me. But i couldnt afford £700 for a clifford PLUS black jax. I would have however loved to have remote start for those cold mornings, but it wasnt available on the autowatch 475 :(
  2. Yeah but its only once the car has come to a stop, its not moving when the black jax disables the car.
  3. To be honest, id plug it into vagcom before replacing sensors that dont need replacing.
  4. Whats the problem with the black jax?
  5. Hahaha that is quality... Oh by the way I've just invented a new diet, instead of *standing* on the scales, you *lie down* on them so your weight is spread over a greater surface area, thus making you weigh less and look *much* thinner! I think the bloke confused spreading your weight over a larger area and it reducing weight. What a numpty!
  6. Certain problems come up so frequently and 90% of the time they are just what they sound like - so I find it easier to give the easiest response first, then let the actual technical people dissect the problem later on if that doesn't look to be the problem ;) Yeah i agree. I can only help on the common problems. Leave the rest to those with more knowledge.
  7. If loopylindsay says its missing and ive sorted it, Jim you've just won the shortest thread award! :D Bravo!
  8. ROFL, oh god, not that again!  again!?
  9. I've only clay barred it a couple of times, just using water to lubricate. It doesnt look as though its caused any damage. But i will take that comment onboard and go buy some quick detailer. Could you dilute the detailer with water, or anything else and what ratios if you can?
  10. how about stinky pink? ... sorry
  11. The only one straining will be mic by the sounds of it ^^
  12. You shouldnt use clay with just water as water has no lubricity (is that the right word?) so although the clay will 'glide' across the water it will infact be damaging the paint. The detailer acts as a lubricant, there are better ones out there though, i use the Sonus Glyde clay lubricant and when i run out i use neat Megs Last Touch which is like the quik detailer and i mix a bit of shampoo in with it as well for extra lubrication. ah right, thanks herisites!
  13. Can i ask - I bought a maguires clay bar and details pack. Now the detailer has ran out but i still use the clear. I have replaced the details with water and sprayed it on to keep the paint lubricated. Is this ok and if it is, whats the point in this 'detailer'? is it a bit of a gimmick?
  14. Yes even the VAG exhausts for the corrados are now split, so i was told by my vw specialist.
  15. ABS issue? Sorry i cant be more specific then that  Does it seem as if the ABS is cutting in a bit too eagarly? I was also going to suggest a warped disc, but since you've changed them it would be unlikely to be that. Though, is there a chance one was warped when you bought them?
  16. No no, i understood what you said boost. Just didnt think the above statement was the case, is it?
  17. There's been alot of ignition switch issues lately., maybe the warmer weather ??
  18. That's the first thing i thought of when i saw the pic in this thread. Didnt think it would be long before you turned up dinkus.
  19. HA! Nice car, nasty colour.
  20. Would definately say its the switch as ^^
  21. you laugh, but those things are quite useful! And almost everyone will have one, usually to be found in that kitchen draw full of other random crap like those pointless little chrismas cracker padlocks, magnifying glass, plastic puzzles ect..... What about the metal puzzles, the ones where you have to get the loop of metal seperate from the rest of the puzzle? Or best one yet, got 2 water pistols last christmas.... the day just flew by  :offtopic:
  22. you laugh, but those things are quite useful!
