The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Thats shocking! Another reason to go to a 'tried and tested' garage. What garage was this then? -
Good stuff. Hmmm may have to give this a go myself :D You manage to get hold of one then? Not yet.
-
SO, have you checked the oil level?
-
I think its intermittent, going from memory. Only ever had teh oil light come on once in the 3 rados ive owned. But im pretty sure its intermittent, but the light is continious

Knew about the washing up liquid trick. But not the potatoe  ill give that a try. Does the spud smear on the windscreen though?

I was on the way back from standford hall in May and it was lightly raining. I was doing motorway speeds and i didnt need the wipers on, everyone else had them on :D

Same ol' theory really, id rather have an engine thats done 130k but been well looked after, over an engine thats done half the miles but hasnt been looked after/b0ll0x ragged off it etc. The red parts on the pic looks like some sort of brace.

Damn thats that idea out of the window then. Dom you said £10 a litre, from TPS. Call me stupid, but who are TPS? How much is the Synta gold? -

The synta silver is good oil as is the gold and Oilman rates the Silkolene. The more you spend in the way of decent oil etc will save you money in the long run. My next oil change will be with Silkolene. -

I think the handbook quotes 5.5L including filter change. 6L will easily be enough. Hope that helps, or is the response too late? -
WTF! - Boy, 7, flips and crashes parents' car

Doesnt suprise me tbh. Im sure loaads of kids under the legal driving age will know how to drive - well the theory of it anyway. Young society has changed quite alot, even since i was young and im only 25, kids grow up faster then they should be. I young lad and lass walked passed me the other day, both seemed pleasant, not much different from myself when i was young. Until the lad opened his mouth and it was 'f*ck' this and 'f*ck' that, i was shocked! Like i say kids grow up before their time, kids dont want to be kids they want to be adults and do what they like. -
What the h3ll?

Sorry, but what are these inferior "Mega Bloks" of which you speak? The Mclaren is only small, not the same size as the ferrari.
-

aah moan moan moan about building it  Building it is more then half the fun! ;) This is what you want, scale lego model of a Ferrari F1 car and also theres the mclaren i mentioned earlier.
-
This could get interesting :D ;)

Nice write up mate. TBH if you need instead of this dismantler bolt is a deep set ring spanner of the same size and also a 7mm allen key that has a handle on it. Allen key is about £6 and deep set spanner cost about £5.
-
Thats brilliant! Have you seen the Formula 1 Mclaren?
-
Loving that Polo! 8)
-
Welcome to the forum mate. Nothing to add really, just what Mr Boost said. Oh and get on Edition38 forum, alot of other VAG owners on there who would be more likely be interested in a polo. :D
-
 thats what makes it fun to go to Halfords.

It sounds like thats not an isolated case then. One guy at my local branch knows everything you could want to know, then theres the lads who dont have a clue. Then theres a couple of lasses who know squat about cars.
