  1. Was gonna say i go up to a VW specialist in Castleford if its not too far for you. Good mechanic and trusted. Let us know if you need details.
  2. £280? :gag: Was that for a VR, where did you get it? I've just paid £460 delivered from Stealth for a centre pipe, centre box and an oval back box :(
  3. Anyone would think with alot of the young lads, that they have no idea any other car has ever been made. What is it about corsas, is it just the cheap insurance or is the insurance high due to every young male buying one and 'doing it up'. No individuality with that pish car. Sorry for the rant
  4. Ah sweet, thats good news then. Because at the moment it doesnt quite sound right, like its blowing a bit. Cheers :)
  5. Hi all, Just reporting back about my first drive of the rado since having the 6 branch fitted and also a supersprint cat back - which looks peeerdy :) Apologies its taken me so long.. Now, instead of getting the manifold ceramically coated, due to the price of it outweighing the price of the manifold and instead of using the usual heat wrapping material, i decided to see what the aerosol heat paint was like. Bear in mind you're suppose to bake the manifold once its been sprayed at various ascending temperatures and times. So i went over thoroughly first with a blow lamp and once fitted the car was left to idle for a bit. Which is the best i could have done. At first look the paint has started to bubble in places and some has been knocked off when it was fitted. It was also smoking a very small amount, which stopped. But so far its not looking too bad. However i still might need to take it off and heat wrap it with material. I also need to shield a pipe near the bottom of the engine bay near the back, just below where the lambda probe connector sits, or it will probably melt :? As for performance, well people were right when they said there would be no noticable power increase. But, there is a noticable increase in throttle response compared to before both mani and exhaust were fitted. One last thing - When accelerating, especially in a low gear, theres a raspy, sucking air (;)) type noise. Is this a hole somewhere, possibly exhaust not quite clamped right or is it something else? I thought the exhaust may need time to 'settle in' as such, same with the manifold. I hope its not going to stay put :(
  6. Added you and online now with Critical mass  Ill get you added too Zippy. :D
  7. If the exhaust is leaking before the cat it could well be running rich. Though even with out the leak, or the leak being after the cat it could still be running rich.
  8. Seriously, people who hog lanes and have no lane discapline bring out the road rage in me. I know i should control it, but when they toddling along at under 70 in the middle lane for miles and miles when the inside is clear, it drives me up the wall. Also on dual carriageways when theres a car in the slow lane and a car in the outside line both driving side by side at the same speed. GRRRRRRRRRRR! why dont they think to speed up and pull over ??
  9. Coil overs are the route most people make. The ride comfort will be decided by which coilovers you get. As i dont have coilovers on mine i cant say, i have lowered shockers and springs. If you've got the money id say coilovers. I sure those that have coilovers can advise you as to which ones to go for - or do a search. Gaz
  10. Yes you can steer a corrado whilst being towed, but it can be hard work but not impossible. I had to have my 2ltr 8v towed and had no problems, cant see it being much different from a VR apart from the weight. But im sure the car towing you rado is perfectly capable of towing. Id never tow a car with just a rope, id always use a tow bar because it keeps the cars a safe distance apart and theres no chance of it snapping. You'll find the tow bar does rub the front bumper above the towing eye, but if you put a cloth between the bumper and bar it should mark the paint. EDIT - sorry Coolrado beat me to it.
  11. lo mate, If you look on the inside of the drivers door theres a sticker telling you what they are. I think its 32 psi front 34 psi back cant honestly remember.
  12. Its not all about speed though is it. I like my car to look good as well as to go fast.
  13. Couple of places improvement. Fantastic race!
  14. Bad move by her driving off :nono: If it wasnt her fault why did she drive off!? What was she driving out of interest? Get it reported to the police and tell the insurance company she drove off, that should be almost all the nails in her coffin. I can believe the police station been closed, its outrageous!
  15. I think all you need is an uprated headlight loom, which is a piece of pish to fit. Other then that they just fit where the old headlights where, same fixings. Jobs a good un
  16. Thats probably cos its been for sale for quite a while now.
  17. Yeah very true. I suppose we should be grateful for that. I heard the Corrado had a court order against him, hence he has no corrado
  18. LOVE SMUDGE!!!!!!! He's either A) really sad and needs to get out more B) A can short of a six-pack or C) a weird pervert The choice is yours! :cuckoo:
  19. speaking of which http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/414508.htm
  20. Not Sharon then? The card says Sharon Lovley. Its the same mob number so its definately the same guy. He was charging £25 for the set, but when i got there near the end of the show, the press had broken. Anyway, he said they were cheaper via the website. £17.50 sounds reasonable, how much was postage?
  21. I got these ones from a guy on Ebay, user name "funphotoart" £17.50 a pair 8) he normally goes to all the classic shows, if he is not selling on ebay just mail him, these letters are the early type face British 57mm ones (the later post 2001 are 50mm ones, that were only smaller so they could fit the extra digits on the new type reg without changing plate size) these are very good quality and a heavier gauge alloy plate than the German ones people do and Totally legal (unless they can prove it was made yesterday  ) although they do have a makers mark on the plate anyway........ TTPR.. or something, i could probably organise a group buy on plate holders too (different dealers/towns/places all over germany) if anyone was interested? i know a man  .....he is trying to source Karmann or Osnabruck ones for me as we speak too, which would be 8) 8) 8) cool Cheers Dinkus, i have always called them "plate holders" but for some reason i picked up the "plaketten" thing off here and ran with it  thought it was german for plate holder maybe  i always thought the other region/insurance/mot/emmisions stickers were called "stadt" though  Thats the bloke who's at Stanford Hall each year. Id be up for a group buy. :D Do you have the ebay address AQUA, i picked his card up whilst at Stanford and it doesnt seem to have any items on the page
  22. Good point about it not being a VR, but beetles arent mean to be fast, its all about how it looks. Unless you put a Porsche lump in it. 8)
