I think there need to be more emphasis on pedestrians too though, especially kids. On the A64 in Leeds, theres a fence dividing the carrigeways. Even though there are regular crossings, even a new one put in, within the last year, people still insist on jumping the fence where ever and dashing across the roads. I live near a school and the kids there jsut dont give a sh!t. A school bus had pulled up to let people across and there was queue of traffic behind. I was going passed the bus at no more then 20mph. I then saw the women who was pulled behind the buss flinging her arms about, suddenly a kid runs across the road and i have to slam on, although i wasnt going fast. He ran over the road and kept going not even looking back. Made me so angry at the ignorance. If it wasnt for the woman id have probably clipped the kid. I say this becuase sometimes it isnt the drivers speed thats the issue its the fact that people dont respect the road, like some pedestrians. Drunk louts getting hit cos they stumbled into the road, people crossing on zebra crossings assuming you'll stop IN TIME because youre obliged to stop. They should bring in some kid of jaywalking law.

Just as amusing is when you're waiting for you gf whos in the fitting room, and there are a few other blokes doing the same. You may glance at each other, thinking the same thing along the lines of 'When is she coming out'. You cant help but feel sorry for eachother cos you know what each of you are going through. Theres all these blokes hanging around., lumbered with all the bags.

Just bolted on. The bolts that run up the wing under the bonnet. One under neath the car just behind the arch and one inside the arch beneath the under-seal.

I didnt refit with the nylon nuts as they would only go so far on when i tried - thus not being tight. So i put the original ones back on.

Beware of the airline they have at petrol stations, apparently they can under/over read. Take a proper pressure gauge with you. :)

anyone claimed from local concil, bad roads!!
Critical_Mass replied to colsy's topic in General Car Chat
I know what you mean mate! You'll probably have to get the damaged fix and you'll be given the amount you're charged to fix. OR if you get a quote from a garage saying what needs fixing and how much. The stretch of road i damaged my wheel on was resurfaced with in a couple of weeks of my claim, its the smoothest road around my area now. If only they had resurfaced it earlier. -
Nope no problems with my inpros. Could it be a loose wire inside?

I claimed for an alloys once. Get some pics of the offending grate before you ring them, as they'll be out sharpish once its reported to resurface the road. They will blame their contractors and your claim will be passed onto them. Thats where the waiting starts. It was November when my claim went in, by August the year after i got a cheque. -
Anyone fancy buying one? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/379408.htm

Right a quick question about my 93 VR. I have found oil in the air intake pipe, between the airbox and throttle body. Im just wondering if there should be oil in there!? The pipe that comes from the head (at the back on the left as you look at the engine) and into the intake pipe, is missing the PCV (?) valve, its just a straight pipe with a electrical connection on one end. Its around there that most of the oil has accumulated. Is the oil coming from the pipe between the head and the intake due to this missing valve? Its not loads of oil, but it is enough. Its also got its self in the throttle body which i had to give a clean out. Any advise appreciated. Thanks

 had the same problem as you at the time i did mine. Even ruined 2 watch screwdrivers trying to get the bugger out. In the end i took a larger screwdriver and a hammer to it and broke the plastic housing to get it out. I then fitted the new ignition switch and once plugged, it stayed in place on its own. But to make sure i cable tied it, which i beleive is what alot of people from here do to save the hassle of having to get the screw out again next time the switch breaks. HTHs

Bad luck dude. This is why i appreciate the 'secret' button on my car, so even if they get the keys they still wont be able to start the car. Hope it works out for you mate!

Man that is bad luck. Though it does explain something - Someone must have seen the micra with no roof, reported this back to nissan and weeeheeey they do a micra cc.... horrible thing

Which will be a s0d if its connected via ISO connectors. Good old trusty strip connectors!

Never used the rear corrado speakers before as ive either bought a rado with 6x9s already installed or the latest rado had no radio up until 6 months ago and i installed 6x9s in straight away. So im not sure of the quality of the rear speakers. Though I do get by ok with a pair of Kenwood 6x9s and standard fronts.

yeah there is that  Theres screws on either side edge of the door card iirc, then its a case of pulling the top off. The bottom just rests on some bits of metal attached to door.

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/ste ... /2167.html Id check the wiring at the back of the stereo first to see if theres a loose wire. Then have a look at the speaker in the door, by taking the door card off. Im not sure if the dash speak runs off of the door speaker as the back of the stereo only has left right front and left right back. no dash wires.
