What engine? (EDIT- sorry just seen your other thread, G60 right?) Have a look on here - http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... st#p768439

I was going to buy one of those readers. Glad i didnt now. Works on VRs too APPARENTLY
-
Cheers for the offer. But I got impatient and bought a better one that ive already got off ebay. Its not plug and play but I cut and crimped the wires for the last loom i fitted so it doesnt really matter i suppose. Im getting someone to knock me up some wires/relays for the inpros, so main and full beam work together.

Blue95 how much was the CV joint from VAG? Mine has started to clank.
-
Glad to hear you guys rating the autowatch. never really heard of them myself but the local alarm fitter advised me to fit one of these, ive got the new 375rli. The box on mine was put under the bonnet release handle behind the trim. I think you have to use the menu to turn the beeps off ie using the ignition key to count the led flashes, i dont know the sequence though. OR failing that Dom. If you press the trunk release button ONCE first then disarm OR press the panic button ONCE and then arm it will disarm/arm silently. Though thats on my remote. Dont know if they're all different.

Welcome to the forum. Im sure someone closer to the area would be able to tell you about meets though. You could also look under the events/meets thread :D

 you make it sound so simple. Ill let someone who knows what they're doing make me one though.

Hmmm. The thing is i wouldnt know where to start when making my own. Anyone made one and willing to make me one? Ive got money waiting  This whole headlight loom situation is getting silly. Cant seem to get hold of one. EDIT - spoke to the bloke. He says he does waterproof and heat shrink the connection. Ive ordered one, so we will see what its like, it cant be any worse then the other lesser quality ebay one i bought. Though i have spoken to the bloke who fitted my alarm, who knows his electrics well. He's goign to make me a connection between the main and full beam lights. As im running inpros at the mo and only one set of lights works at a time. Ill post on here the out come to pass it on to other if need be.

Anyone had any dealings with this chap off ebay selling these wiring looms? Are they any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SX4-VW-CORRADO-GO ... dZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SX5-VW-CORRADO-GO ... dZViewItem

Volkswagen Spares Castleford Unit 9, Raglan Works, Methley Rd, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 1NX Tel: 01977 518254 His name is Craig, its not a huge garage but then you arent paying big garage kind of prices. He's just fitted an new VR lump for me along with clutch among other things. Was happy for me to go see progress and also advised me in regards to what i should change while engine is out etc. Top bloke. I go to him all the time as does my girlfriend and her dad. Though ive only ever seen one other corrado there he knows his way round them. Though he is a great believer in keeping things standard it'd be worth asking him about mods. Gareth

Which would make sense^^. If the oil is low the oil light will flash and beep when going round corners

Have to agree, i wouldnt take my rado to a vw dealership. Took my girlfriends lupo to them to get a pedal box fitted. They came back saying it needed 2 rear suspension bushes front brake pads (id fitted new ones about a month or so before) rear window washer and new front ball joint. It had just passed its MOT 4 months earlier also. I just dont trust them, i get the impression they will say anything, even if its taking advantage of someone that doesnt know anything about cars such as my girlfriend. They just want your money. Luckily we go to a VW specialist which is a bit further to travel then we'd hope, it being just outside Leeds in castleford. But he knows his stuff, he's honest and wont try to get you to have work done on your motor just to make himself some cash. His customer service doesnt stop once he's taken your money if you're still having problems with the car. To top it all of he charges £26 inc VAT an hour 8)

As simple as that is it, so theres nothing actually holding it in?
-
BARGAIN! :D
-
Nice one, and how did you get the piston out?
-
£11.74  including or excluding vat???? Cheap either way

Me too, geezer. I'm the patient sort, but this thing is getting old now. And my candles are burning low. All I'll say for the moment, is that if I took money off you nearly three months ago and still I hadn't produced the goods I said I would deliver 8 weeks ago, I would at least keep you up to date via PM. No such courtesy extended my way. Aye, same here bud. No PM or nothing :( I am willing to wait if i was getting updates but i just arent. But i really could do with this loom, as all ive got is one of the looms off of ebay. So far so good with it, but i could do with both lights for full beam. Im not confident enough to make my own either. If anyone is gonna give it a crack let me know  ...... seriously.

Who else other then me, HAS handed money over?
-
No mate thats a fair point you did right imo, It really pi$$es me off. Like there arent enough bad drivers out there, nevermind people using phones too. Unless you're going down a motorway, i dont see how you can physically use one, with the constant changing in direction and gears. Not without taking your one hand off the wheel anyway.
-
Even though theres a new law where you can server time if you are seen to have driven dangerously, caused accident or death while using the phone. There are still loads of people i see do it. They drive along without a care in the world talking on their phone. Sometimes oblivious to the fact youre there, just like the bloke who pulled right in front of me causing me to break hard, when i went passed him he was on the phone and was just looking straight ahead! #mad

Id be careful saying that on a puplic forum  Is it the Synta gold that is the fully synthetic?
-
heh i can get synta silver for £16 inc vat from my cheery local VW specialist :D That Castrol does seem cheap though.

Garage broke my door? Advice needed
Critical_Mass replied to Mystic Storm's topic in Suppliers Forum
I agree it does sound very coincidental. However, are you sure thats not what it is - a coincidence? When you say the door handle is broken, is it the infamous week door handle mechanism that corrados are know to have? Can the door be opened from the inside?
