  1. Would be willing to give the ARB drop link away for free as its only one - who wants it just to pay postage. Meant to give it away with the car but forgot :-/
  2. It could be the bearing in the top suspension mounts that are the prob. When mine were going on full lock i used to get a noise from them.
  3. When you say adjuster, do you mean at the bottom of the gear stick in the car? could it be the linkage with some play in it?
  4. Cheers for the heads up, tired of my a55 hurting after a while on the bike.
  5. I can see the point from both sides if im honest, these cars do need more money spent on them due to their age and cost of parts/rarity of parts. But at the same time, we all love these cars and most of the time its an enthusiasts who buy the cars, so regardless of the value of the car afterwards, we'd always be willing to spend money on it. I spent 3k on getting a new engine fitted to mine, that was in 2008. Ive just sold it for 1500 and was only asking 1800 for it.. but it wasnt getting the attention i thought it would. It didnt bother me on the loss cos ive been able to enjoy the car. At the same time theres a corrado that goes to my mechanic also and its a right bucket, not looked after at all and im told the owner just sees it as a get from "A to B".
  6. Yeah thought of that, but it doesnt copy the pics, meaning i have to photobucket them back in grrrrrrrrrr.... guess that's the only way. Unless this is going to be fixed? Andi?
  7. Hi all, Can anyone tell me how to edit the first post on my FS thread (as items are sold/added) without losing the original text/pics of the post. I want to remove items or mark them as sold, but when i press on edit and even go advanced, there's no original text or pics and as i found out in my Car FS thread i lost the original details and it replaced it with my edit. Not sure if this just applies to FS section, but it were i noticed it. Cheers Gaz
  8. Ok, but doubt he will given he's paid for them and they're wrapped ready for postage. :)
  9. OUCH! Thats got to hurt. That Silver mk6 Golf almost ended up with a Beemer up his chuff.

  13. Yeah i understand how they've come to that conclusion, doesnt mean i agree with it. I got blind sided by a car coming out of a T junction, as i passed, he pulled out and swiped the side of my car. Still went against me.. how can i be responsible for other peoples actions, i cant control peoples decisions
  14. Err yeah.. if you've had an accident it will go against you.. even if its a non-fault claim, which is ridiculous.
  15. Coilovers have their own top plate which sits on top of the springs. The rubber top mount goes ontop of that then inside the engine bay theres the usual top plate.
  16. I MAY have some spares, but not 100% will check for you. They're hard to get hold of, but although now obsolete "old" stock can be found if you ring around. I got some through my mechanic and he said his suppliers computer said zero stock, they did have half a dozen sitting around.
  17. There's the powerflex option, never fitted these myself though so cant really comment on any comparison to the standard ones.
  18. Which is correct. The weight of the car is what keeps the top mounts in place and the top plate keeps the strut in place when the car is jacked up. As for the OP. did you tighten the top nut enough and with the car on the floor? The strut will drop a little with the car off the floor, but wouldnt imagine itd be enough to cause much, if any movement. Saying that, when the car is back on the ground the top mount should seat correctly in the turret anyway.
  19. I think ive got a spare one somewhere from the Passat. Its plastic not metal, but does the job and will work on the Corrado - well it does on the VR, not sure if the bolt pitch on the valver is different?
