Itll be the bearings in the top mounts, they do sieze over time and dont allow the top of the struts to turn smoothly when turning the wheel.

Jim, thats exactly how i felt mate and the reason i sold mine a mere 2 weeks ago. Mechanically it was sound, though with the odd niggle, but the bodywork started to need attention and i just didnt have the money for it. I do miss it, but its kind of a relief i dont have to worry about what will break next - which is more of a worry when it was a daily. Sure i drive a passat tdi wagon, but i love it, its not the Corrado though.. but i know i can depend on it. Funnily enough i sold it to a guy who was in the bodywork line of work, so i see it as fate and the right thing to do. Good luck with what ever decision you mate :)

VDO senders are about £70... Piersburg senders are £100++

Long time no see Mr VR6. Thats a good way of putting it. The rattles will drive you mad and you'll have to fix them!
-
And note with the VT mounts you'll get more vibration through the cabin... personally id stick to OEM.
-
Sorry, forgot to get back to you. Couldnt find any spare clips.

If you go for coilovers, dont go for cheap branded coilovers. As Sean said, best to either get a CHEAPER set of quality secondhand coilies or new decent branded coilovers. The KWs are very good, but i hear the Weitecs are also very good, which are cheaper than KWs but made in the same factory. If you cant afford the mid to higher range of coilovers go for a decent set of shocks and springs.

Can I use this fuel pump on the Corrado VR6? (Pierburg)
Critical_Mass replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
No only a piersburg sender will fit a piersburg pump and the same for VDO pump and sender. Not sure if the sender from the passat will work. Though i would say that if the pump from the passat can be used in the corrado then the sender will be the same. -

Critical_Mass replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
i think the VRs only came with VDO pumps, which replaced the Piersburg pumps. Maybe someone could confirm that. If you can use it i have a piersburg gauge sender and float for sale which i bought accidentally. Its new, never been used just need shot of it and it was too expensive to just throw away. -
One on my VR whined for ages and i had no issues with it. Was more noticeable with lower fuel levels.
