  1. Yeah that is a risk. But would hope the COrrado would appeal to Clarkson's good side - if he has one haha.
  2. Just finished watching it and yeah the merc for seven grand is a bargain! Though was laughing my ass off at the forensic results haha.
  3. Tall bloke with glasses? Why didnt you speak up when he asked if anyone was a member of a motoring club. Get the Corrado a mention?? :D
  4. Yeah DRS is spoiling it for me to be honest. Wish they'd scrap it.
  5. Is it tonights??? Havent seen it yet?
  6. I agree mate, 10th to 2nd, ok he ended up in 4th but only due to the fuel issue. Last corner was excellent, and am hoping that the stewards dont penalise him for it. IMO he had the racing lane and Massa tried it on the outside (with his rights to). The stewards are too trigger happy these days, same with Schumacher, he under steered and clipped kobayashi (was it kob? ). You can almost guarantee if the stewards investigate an incident, it'll be followed by the drivers in questions being punished. Loving that camera too, brilliant. I was just thinking as Brundle said it that it looked like a computer game :D I like the the commentary pairing more then i thought i would, but cant help but think Coulthard still has a slight biased towards certain situations. He'll argue something even though Brundle is talking sense and logic. 2 weeks to Hokenheim! :D
  7. You'd be better off buying new mate, you dont know how long a second hand one will last. You could be replacing it again before long. I got one from ECP, they're about £170 i think (but i got mine at discounted price). Was good quality too and fit nicely.
  8. Could be. Is the other side ok, if so then i suspect you've just over tightened or assembled it incorrectly. Worth taking it back off an checking. If you've put the top mount too tight it will wear quickly. You only nee to nip that nut up, but the very top nut (engine bay) needs to be done up enough
  9. Exactly. The mk2 is older then the Corrado and plenty of Mk2 parts are still available. Yet Corrado parts seem to be harder to hold of from the dealers. I cant see that improving even with the new scheme. They'll want to just forget the corrado ever existed - sadly. What was the deal with prices. Did VW have to price them as they did simply to make a profit becuase they cost so much to make. Or did VW get greedy with the amount of profit they wanted to make?
  10. These are shocks and springs right? If the kit is the correct kit for the car, im sure it is, the original spring plate should fit. I would take it apart and check it all fits together ok, then put it back on the car. Spring and shock kits dont come with their own top plate, you do have to use the original top plate.

    fuel pump

Cant help you with a the fuel pump sorry, but im assuming its a piersburg pump. I have a brand new sender £100+ you can have real cheap if you need it as its currently sat in a box unused. WHen i say cheap, i mean CHEAP!
  12. I fear the Corrado will suffer simply because VW are embarrassed by the Corrado. Other older marks will benefit though.
  13. Guys, sorry i meant to update this. I was told the suppliers had 4 in stock according to their system. That isnt looking the case. My mechanic will continue to check and will get any if they come in stock. Sorry to get peoples hopes up. When i ordered mine not that long ago they had a few in stock. I thought these were still available. I thought the 90mm spoiler was obsolete.
  14. Was it your thread Pete, been looking for that thread. haha Yeah the news is he cant get hold of any, sorry to get your hopes up. The supplier is showing 4 in stock, but that doesnt appear to be up to date :-/ Told him my mechanic to keep checking and if any come in stock, to get them all! So i'll keep checking with him :D
  15. haha i see your WHOLE car and raise you your sister ;-)
  16. Yup. Then use one or 2 cable ties to hold the new one in place. Just make sure its tight enough.
  17. Comments like that Rob, come from people who arent into cars at all. A lad at my new place of work said "2.9... why would you want a 2.9!" - this is the guy who drives one of those 107 pugs (uurgh). I replied with, "you're obviously someone where are car is just to get into A-B, where as i like my cars and to answer your question - cos i can"
  18. Ive got wind deflectors (on the car) love the look of them :D And pete - auto wipers, thats just lazy I raise your lazy wipers, i mean auto wipers and raise you KW coilovers :D (where are the smilies!? can only do the ones i remember  )
  19. i'll take your ham and raise you cheese
  20. I reckon the bubble will burst sooner then people think though.
  21. T0ssers! Like Jim said, the cops over here should adopted the ramming tactic, thats one thing i like about america, the cops. No messign about, when its safe to do so, nudge the rear corner of the car and let it spin out. None of this hesitence incase they have to fill out 50 forms explaing a scratch to the bumper
  22. got this exact same issue. One fog light hasnt worked since taking the bumper off i think (didnt notice it until i put bumper back on, so hopefully its the bulb), but like you the screws are fooked.
  23. haha how wrong could you be. I had a fuel leak on the upper of those 2 pipes and i got a price and apparently you have to buy a full length of pipe not just that one part and its like £40 + VAT. Ridiculous.
